Toy Tengoku Episode 114 – Bring Arts Sephiroth

With the new “Final Fantasy VII Remake” game drawing closer and closer, we just couldn’t pass up the chance to talk about Square Enix’s newest Sephiroth figure! From the Bring Arts line, this Sephiroth is actually based on the first “Kingdom Hearts” design, complete with his single wing, which features beautiful painting and pose-ability, too! Check him out, and stay till the end to see how you can enter to win him yourself!

Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  4. I remember the first time I saw this bastard in Kingdom Hearts. As soon as he appeared, my brother kept saying “THAT’S SEPHIROTH!” but all I could do was neglecting it in my head. I just wasn’t ready to see that monster again. However, that didn’t stop me from preparing for the incoming battle. I attacked as quick as possible… and he defeated me with one single hit.

  5. Nice Sephiroth figure! I’m in a similar situation as you Lindsay, as I don’t have a PS4 but am going to have to consider getting one just so I can play FF7 remake!

  8. Square-Enix now moving the KH characters to Bring Arts from Play Arts Kai huh?
Last one was Aqua in Play Arts Kai.

I prefer Bring Arts more than Play Arts Kai. Because making poses with PAK really troublesome of the legs are not sturdy.

    • The Bring Arts line is a little less hard on the wallet; maybe they’re moving that direction because people are less willing to pay more with the problems known with the PAK figures 🙁

  9. I’m also excited for Final Fantasy VII Remake.
This Bring Arts version looks really good and recreates Sephiroth’s Kingdom Hearts iteration very well.
I presume we’ll be getting a release for Cloud as well?

  12. This is one crazy looking figure. I hope to win it! Good old days of Kingdom Hearts on the PS2. I hope they release more Final Fantasy characters in their KH incarnation, like Squall (Leon) and Cloud. Cloud would be a perfect fit with Sephiroth here!

  13. I would definitely don’t mind getting him, specially for the upcoming Remake

  14. Having one wing was an interesting character design choice. Usually I’d be worried about asymmetry and how unbalanced it would look, but it works well for him, you know? It’s nicely detailed, and that for me makes up for the somewhat limited joint movement.

  15. It maybe licensing why they didn’t put kingdom hearts. But either way it’s pretty cool!!

    • I have to think that Square Enix holds the cards with licensing since it’s their game, but… with the FF characters phased out of the newer games, maybe they just want to put distance between the franchises 🙁

  16. I really wish they’d remake the original Final Fantasy VII square enix figures. Especially the advent children ones. It would be interesting to see them get updated.

  20. With the upcoming remake of FF7 it would be nice to see a new Nanaki / Red XIII as he is rare now,
Use your powers HLJ girls and make it happen.

    • We’re concentrating really, really hard.

…but since he’s probably not going to be in the first “episode” of the Remake, I wouldn’t get your hopes up about a new figure anytime soon. 🙁

  22. Literally everyone: “You can’t erase that. We know that happened!”

    Square Enix: “Challenge accepted.”

…but seriously though, Nomura, quit being a dodo and give the fans what they want.

  23. I want to win Sephiroth. Because he’s the best character in Crisis Core:Final Fantasy 7. I died 50 times when fighting him in Kingdom Hearts 2

    • He’s so tough!

  24. So that’s who Lvl 75 Mage & Stand User Anna is! You and Lindsay work well together. The blue gradient on the wings is pretty cool but the Masamune always wins. I like how he looks a bit like Dracula in design (thinking of the Lords of Shadow series).

    • Thank you! I like to make appearances sometimes, but I’m mostly content doing behind-the-scenes work 🙂

  25. I was a bit worried Lindsay was going to poke herself in the eye when posing that figure with the sword.

  27. I loved this guy in the original ff7, crisis core, kingdom hearts 1 and 2 and the movie also! He makes the best bad guy everywhere he turns up.

  28. I absolutely love him as the bad guy in the games and movie! Really brings out the ”uh-oh” in you when you’re up against a villain like him.
