With two different inner frames to chose from, a first for the SD line, these new SD/CS kits are a big articulated step in the right direction! The inner frames are not the only thing to be excited about, as part of the first wave of cross silhouette kits Bandai has released the immensely popular Nightingale!

Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  1. So much Chibi Gundam goodness! I’m running out of space to display my figures, so these would be perfect for filling in the little nooks and crannies in my display cupboards! 😀

  8. The new Cross Silhouette line really does make the EX-S line looked mediocre

  9. Yet another nightingale that is missing the neo zeon symbol from the codpiece. If you want to find out why just look at the original line art.

  11. I’m not really into the SDs overall their look just doesn’t appeal to me. However I really am looking forward to getting the Master Grade Jegan someday.

  12. Hello, you often make reference to your shelf… It could be cool to show us your completed works once !
And I’m surprised bandai don’t release Real Grades more often to extend the line.. I really think that there are a lot of cool kits that could make some great real grades..
(ps : I’m french, so please, excuse my english 😉

  15. Wow, Bandai reaaly upped their game with the SDCS’s. Nice part separation and the base models are still within the 6-700 Yen supermarket range.
The MG Jegan is probably someones monkey paw wish.

  18. The SDCS line up is very promising and I hope that Bandai keeps up with it.
The SD EX Standard line up was trash and it’s no surprise Bandai trashed that line up.
If it means paying a little more, I don’t mind if it means we get better quality SD kits.

  22. As these are out of stock at the moment I am thinking of getting the converge Ex24 Lafrishia option part set of tentacle armatures. Any chance it will get a general release? as I can see a lot of possibilities for customisation like a tentacle Ks or W zero.
Got to love those tentacles although tendrils are cool too.

  25. Cross Silhouette is a great idea. Previously my favourite SDs were all from the BB Legends and BB Senshi lines, like the Full Armour Unicorn and the Musha Victory. Why? More complete frames and armour and awesome accessories. Unicorn even partsforms. As an SD.

  50. What they could do with Master Grade kits is have a clean image of the box art as you open the box sitting at the top, like a mini poster without all the text and logos.
