The fact God Mars got a model kit still astonishes me, but nonetheless the kit is pretty cool honestly, and I’ll probably pick it up at hlj in the future

I just can’t bring myself to like the blaster master, it just looks too weird for my tastes, still, I hope that at least Bandai release those satellite cannons as a separate kit, I got a few custom ideas for them.

I’m quite surprised the MG GNT-0000/FS 00 Qan[T] Full Saber is not a ‘gentei’ release.
I look forward to adding it to my collection one day.
Carito
So 80’s, wow!!
TheShadowGamer
I remember the old says when I watched the whole episode of Gunpla TV while walking to class in the morning. Nowadays I only have time to skip to the parts I want to see :\
Castoff20
Wow… 1983! I just entered the world that year, haha! Haven’t actually watched God Mars before, but I did enjoy many other Super Robot shows at the time. Such an educational video on the history of Mecha anime in the 80’s, you rock Ardith! Hope to see you back more often!! XD
pt25
the godmars kit sure looks interesting! concept is similar to that super shock gundam.
EdgeyLu
This Moderoid line looks promising!
D.Navi
How do you spell that other show that you guys were mentioning that ran alongside God Mars?
Ju-Ju
I remember the “good old days” when I was a kid and I watched Macross on VHS. I think it was a rare tape and it was translated to my language (hungarian). I watched that VHS a lot of times, probably fell in love with the mecha animes back then.
jeel
win!
Athilia
I’m interested in that Quanta. I wonder if it’ll have balance/joint problems.
Mapotofu
God Mars, I have no idea about these, haven’t been born yet when it aired.
Ramrod
Can’t wait to build the MG 00 Qan[T] Full Saber!
ATrehy110
Great episode as always
XONNIX
The god mars looks awesomely classic! And I can’t wait to see the OO QanT built. Also I wanna win the store credit…👍

This is Great. Thank you very much ^_^

old super robots have the best names
MantisCore
I like Ardith. You should have her on more often.
BNuts
I can’t decide whether the Blast Master is trying to pull a Loheng-rinko or a Gundam X Jumaoh. Probably the latter. But it’s a Jegan and I don’t know how many regular release HGs we have of them.
Strayed
Kinda nervous bout the quality of GSC kits. I was looking forward to that Gurren Lagann kit.
PM
old kit coming
Veemon24
I have nothing intelligent to add here…
Momentai
Still waiting for new Gundam Wings Kits.
Smatster
God Mars is a surprise.
Xuan Anh Bui
It’s always good to see new unique kits like this
Zeroconvoy
I really loved hearing the history about the kit. That was pretty awesome to hear.
Vhiztified
Though God Mars is a cool looking old school mecha, it is unfortunate that the design & build quality is not good enough, especially for the price
Andrés
I’m kind of new to the show (been subscribed to the Youtube channel for about one year and a half more or less) so I don’t know many members of the staff. But, oh my goodness, thank you Ardith for appearing on this episode and letting me know about you. Honestly, I would love to see her and Scott just talking about old anime shows, even when I don’t know s**t about them. It’s just so interesting and relaxing and magical.

I hope they come out with an MG Astraea! That would be pretty cool. Ver Ka perhaps?….
Zosimos
Just discovered this show on youtube. I really wish I had known about it sooner. It would have made my decision choosing new Gunpla a lot easier to make. Thanks for all the great info.

HobbyLinkJapan: The only company that has a bunch of North Americans (half of which are older than the audience) living in Japan talk about anime, figures, plastic model kits and other nerdy stuff, while cracking immature jokes on the internet for the amusement of others (and themselves), all the while being cool.
That’s a compliment.

That moment when: you’re expecting your regular toy review and instead you get a short lesson of the context of mecha shows in the late 70’s and early 80’s.
LeeTard
I’m glad someone finally addressed Tods shirts, I’ve always wondered about his shirts.
SantoFett
Love godmars hits all the nostalgia points, great episode, Todd you mentioned the construction being very similar to koto kits, are moderoids polycaps similar as well?
foxhound
It’s always cool to see more classic super robots in plamo form. I wonder if the limited articulation of each of the God Mars robots is reminiscent to what old toys of the God Mars in the early 80’s would have been like.
POGI AKO
hopefully I can win. haha they double the price of gunpla here in the philippines
Trevor Norris
This kits and model are fantastic and great to collect .
Stellarium Celestia
If I cut my hair, Hawaii will sink!
Zero00Gravity
This kit brings back memories. I don’t remember the premise of the anime. I just liked watching it.
Andrés Arévalo
I can not wait to see a review of the HG Moon Gundam. The manga is pretty cool, but the Gunpla looks even better
hellgatex
Oh wow, awesome camo from Ardith throwing down some deep oldschool anime nerd knowage, also i love that Scott finally called out Todd about his shirts xD Great episode, make more like this one please 😀
G-Raizer
the new jegan looks very cool!
Meister_D
great show guys
Shinobi Rendar
The Build Divers line seems to be releasing kits almost every week. It’s a welcome line for customizing and kitbashing!
Videodrome
You gave away a Honda monkey kit? Wicked!!!!!
Vargen
it sacrifices the toyetic fun of the combination for very accurate and cool looking robotmodes.
Im a very big fan of the super minipla line. They keep most of the toys transformation but add a few partsswapping moments. For example gaogaigar has transformation hands and more accuratly proportioned switchable hands.
on voltron you can transform it just like the old toy, but you are supposed to switch the lions heads for better proportioned ones and you can switch thew cats legs with metallic painted caps to be show accurate.
Ravenps3
My time to win!
Gaelio Zabi
Respect to the lady who cosplayed before it was cool. If only we don’t have to store the extra parts aside when we combine those 6 God Mars (even 1 got left out LOL). And that No name unit looks great, I look forward to how we can use it with other suits like the grand daddy or the IBO suits.
kajnrig
This was a funner than usual episode. Whoo-hoo!
Quantum25
I love the history lesson we got this episode, always appreciate it whenever you guys cover the story and history behind a kit.
EnsignModeler

Brian ver. Kanada
Great show and it was nice to hear from Ardith again. Hope we can see some more HLJ people.
Stibi
I can always use more gattai in my life, but not at the cost of the dreaded *glue*. (or parts-forming)
Złoty Pstryk
I’m waiting now for shipment of Moon Gundam. I hope that quality of this kit matches price.
POGI AKO
please do the IBO Master grades next 😁😁😁
