Why not go with a semi-gloss topcoat so it doesn’t look too flat but at the same time wont look too toy like with the gloss

I’m going flat. There are too many detail and panel line on this kit, gloss will not be a good choice. But I think I go for a much softer red since is a Katoki version. 🙂

Thin down your pants to a watery/milky state and apply the paint carefully with a thin layer. Repeat the process a few times and you will get a smooth surface. Of course it won’t look perfect the first time but with a bit of practice everything is doable. I am practicing thi myself so you have to be a little patient while doing this….

Like what Cthuihu said…thinned down the paint to watery. We always say “let it run.” If your enamel panel line color don’t run means your paint still too thick.

And one reminder, don’t try panel lining if you got a flat coat of your model especially the white. Do it on semi-gloss or gloss, after finish your panel lining, seal it with flat…[Read more]

It’s simple, just use the appropriate thinner for the type of paint you’re using. For instance if it’s acrylic you can use any brand of acrylic thinner or even domestic use alcohol.

Dropping the parts in Purple Power for a day or two will probably do it.

Or just prime them and paint over them.

Don’t bother removing the finish.I would just prime it all black then paint it gold. I did that with my Shin Musha and it turned out nice.
