It’s been a while, while my foray into warhammer and miniature painting has been satisfying, I find big stompin’ robots draw me back.
But why does HLJ not have anything in stock? All good kits are back ordered! -

I could definitely use that Valkyrie for spare parts, I’m sure mine will prove difficult to assemble without breakages.

The latest haul from HLJ.
Over a week ago now, notice the HG kit, either the parts give away is over, or it’s just random luck getting them.
The backlog is now officially to big. -

Cause I got me an MG titus and I’m not really into HG age kits.

Haha! There is no easy way to remove nub marks. If there was we would all be doing it. The best way to remove them is by sanding, moving to finer grits as you go. You can’t do this on special finish for obvious reasons. If you have a special finish kit like a titanium or gold coated edition, you need to use a modelling knife (preferably with a new…[Read more]

Just thin the paint. A fine point airbrush comes in around 0.15 to 0.2. I use an iwata with a 0.3 and that works for good coverage and fine detail. As fine as my uncoordinated hands can muster anyway

That’s the 1/144 version. Because who doesn’t want to adapt an RG GP01 to fit it?

Who here has built the dendrobium? I’m really interested in the kit. And would like to hear opinions of it before I take the plunge. It was available at HLJ recently but now it’s a March restock. If anyone has examples please post them?!

Do you find the alclad chrome is very weak (can’t be masked, rubs of real easy) and the dry time on the gloss black base takes forever?
I like the results alclad produce but they do my head in sometimes-
You do have to topcoat the chrome before you can mask or rub it, but that’s the same for all alclad high shine finishes. My black is dry and ready to add next coat within a few hours, but I always leave it to cure overnight 🙂 great finishes take time. That candy has taken 4 days so far…
