Scott returns to Gunpla TV to talk about the new RG Tallgeese! Although it may be a bit of a tall order, is the RG able to stand tall against the MG Tallgeese? Scott gives his opinion on how the kits stack up! Todd also joins in on the Gundam Wing fun with a look at the recently released HG Leo!

Just a tidbit of information, when you said the Tallgeese is based on the Leo, it’s actually the other way around. The Tallgeese was a very powerful prototype that was toned (way) down to become the mass production model known as Leo.

I believe Tallgeese is the superprototype of both the Leo and all of the other Gundam in ‘Wing.’ It’s to the Leo what the Grimgerde is to the Graze in ‘IBO,’ and you can really see the ‘Wing’ influence.
So would you consider Tallgeese the superprototype to the superprototype Grimgerde?

The new F91 2.0 is great, a nice update to the already fantastic MG F91 with some really nice parts separation, especially love the bronze in the vents, although I kinda miss the special base the original game with.
RG Tallgeese does look impressive, love that poseability yet interesting build. That partial built partial molded frame seems to be nice and sturdy, good time to be a wing fan.
HG GEP Leo looks to be fantastic too, simple, cheap, yet very poseable and sturdy and great parts separation, all that makes a good HG kit and it’ll make a good companion piece to the RG Tallgeese.

the tallgeese is a really lucky robot. First it gets one of the best mgs and now a very solid rg. its interesting how m,uch the inner frame improved. almost like an MG. I hope it will be similar for the sazabi!

I have the MG Tallgeese EW version and the yellow bits on its wings are stickers that don’t work or look too good. Looks like Bandai is improving their smaller scale kits faster than larger ones?

Any chance we’ll get a comparison of the Bandai Arbalest and the Kotobukiya Arbalest? Both are 1/60 scale, but the Bandai one is based off the latest anime incarnation while the Kotobukiya one is older (it was first shown several years ago at one hobby show or another) and is based on the Arbalest’s design from the earlier anime seasons/original novel.

Already knew Scott was a Gundam Wing fan with the older Tallgeese releases he built. That Gundam series was a big hit and pushed the franchise in America. But I’m a fan of the old UC series, Seed and 00. It’s a shame that for 00 Bandai has only focused on the main suits for their RG, MG and perfect grade series, but not the other suits. Hopefully they’ll revisit them later like they’ve done with the other wing suits recently.
