Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  1. Very impressed with what Figure-rise LABO has achieved. Hopefully will see these innovations start popping up in Figure-rise Standard and even Ginpla kits in a larger amount.

    • We really hope so, too! The did include similar multi-layered injection molding with the recent RG Evangelion — so we’ve got our fingers crossed!

  2. Thanks for the really educational video showing the ideas that went into this amazingly beautiful series! These kits look so amazing and cost a fraction of the price of fixed pose figures and garage kits! Really impressed!

    • Glad you enjoyed the video — and that was exactly what we were thinking! They’re a great alternative to the price tags seen on anime figures, so we hope we see more characters in the line soon!

  3. I am very impressed with what Bandai can do.
Also, given that Bandai has model kit rights to Evangelion, I suppose we can expect (eventually) a Figure-Rise LABO line up for Evangelion as well?

  6. If I had to guess, I would bet that Bandai will soon come up with realistic surface structures in the labo series, so that textile, skin, metal, etc. feels real. At least that would be really cool.

  9. I just want some of this super lovely transclear used for other more traditional kits. And pucchiguys. Lots and lots of new transclear pucchiguys.

Not one official transclear pucchiguy. Sad. What are you doing, Bandai? Clear bears. I need more plastic addiction to fill my display cabinets.

  10. I’m wondering how Bandai will apply the tech in Kotori’s dress to its gunpla lines.
