With last week all about the new Bandai model kit announcements, this week we’ve got two weeks worth of new arrivals to take a look at! From The Witch From Mercury Gunpla to Demon Slayer, Kotobukiya’s schoolgirl kit line, Pokemon and more, there’s a little something for everyone in stock right now at HLJ. Check them all out below, and grab ’em before they’re gone!
If any kits in this post are backordered when you read this, don’t worry — Bandai is great about restocking periodically. But, you’ll want to get your order in to secure a spot in line for the next restock!
Gundam Aerial from “Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury” joins Bandai’s HG model-kit lineup! The shield can be separated into 11 parts, which can be connected to various parts of the Gundam; the shell unit is reproduced by combining molded parts, double-sided seals and clear parts, and it can be assembled in the light-emitting form and the non-light emitting form. The beam parts are molded in clear material; the double-sided stickers have a pattern printed on the adhesive surface, to express transparency and depth by sticking them to the inside of the transparent parts.
The Dilanza piloted by Guell Jetterk in “Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury” gets a new HG model kit from Bandai! Its movable axis means it can get into tons of bold action poses after assembly; the neck block that connects the head and torso is equipped with a double ball joint for superior flexibility. The shoulder shield is also highly posable, and various parts of the fuselage have built-in gimmicks for profound action. The Dilanza’s characteristic antenna and feather decoration has also been reproduced; the backpack can be attached and removed as you like. Rifles and torches can be stored behind the shield, and the beam partisan, beam torch and beam rifle are included.
Sousai Shojo Teien
Kotobukiya’s ‘Sousai Shojo Teien’ plastic model line continues, this time featuring Madoka Yuki in an adorable swimsuit! The swimsuit shoulder straps, pink polka-dot pattern, and sandals are all pre-painted, too! The polka-dot pattern is pre-painted even on the body for sitting while hugging the knees, so just assembling the model kit will result in a product close to the character model for users to enjoy! The balance of her proportions have been completely renewed and rollable movement has been added to the thigh joints to enable lively beachside poses. Not only that, but a ton of other extras like new feet parts, hand parts, and so much more are included! Four high-detailed pre-painted face parts are included, but the sunflower accessory will require some painting.
Kyojuro Rengoku from “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is now a figure model kit from Bandai! Easy for even beginners to assemble, his characteristic hairstyle, Demon Slayer Corps uniform, and fluttering haori are carefully modeled for accuracy. His eyes and eyebrows are tampo-printed for convenience, and the flame-like pattern on his blade is preprinted as well.
Mega Man from “Mega Man Battle Network” is now an awesome model kit from Kotobukiya! The carefully selected parts division making full use of the technology cultivated in the “Mega Man X” plastic model series, as well as CAD design for both accurate proportions and movement, result in a spectacular and easy-to-assemble figure of Mega Man who look as if he stepped right out of the game! Four interchangeable facial expressions are included, as are familiar attachments such as Buster, Cannon and Sword. Mega Man’s sword includes two different types of effect blades of different lengths; the Dream Sword effect can be adjusted to display left or right. Remove the cover on his back to expose a 3mm joint hole, making him compatible with various flying bases (not included, sold separately). Even better, the figure is molded in color, so you can get a great result without the need for paint!
The Shiranui Type 2 piloted by Ensign Tarisa Manandal from “Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse” appears in an updated model kit from Kotobukiya! It’s molded in its characteristic colors so painting isn’t necessary; its eyes and light-emitting parts are made with clear parts for added realism. Its range of movement has been expanded for more powerful poses, and its armament stretcher comes with the Takemikazuchi Type-00R Ver. 1.5 that can be shot from the back. The two magazines of the 87-Type Assault Gun can be removed, and it can be converted into a support assault gun; waterslide decals for the markings are included too.
This plastic model of the fighter’s “face” features highly detailed recreations of the cockpit and landing gear, and comes with pre-painted parts and stickers to recreate its design from the movie. Enjoy collecting all of the different Valkyries for a brand-new hobby experience!
This rereleased Megami Device unit uses the base design of BULLET KNIGHTS LANCER and comes with all-new accessories and can be customized with M.S.G for a multitude of customization options. Assemble weapons and armor to this moveable Bishoujo-style model and enjoy creating a different image every time. This model has been made with greater volume around the hips and thighs than previous Megami Device characters.
Kotobukiya rereleases its hot ARCANADEA plastic model kit of the angelic Lumitea! By interchanging some of her parts, the model can be assembled in ‘Normal Mode’ or ‘Wilize Mode’ when in combat. She’s equipped with several 3mm joints, making her compatible with other Kotobukiya plastic model line-ups. She comes with four types of pre-printed face parts, multiple replaceable hand parts, and decals for an added touch of detail.
Presenting Godwing Celestial Knight Yuri Godbuster, the first entry in the new Akiman x Max Factory plastic model series “Godz Order”!
This snap-fit model kit is based on an original design by Akiman, carefully brought into model form by Max Factory. Three pre-painted face plates — a standard face, a shouting face and a face with closed eyes — are included. An unpainted face plate and eye decals are included as well. Her uniquely designed apron is created with pre-painted PVC parts, and she comes with two different front skirt parts of varying widths for different situations. Her skirt is also articulated, allowing for unobstructed movement of her legs for posing.
Sousei no Aquarion
The Aquarion from “Sousei no Aquarion” joins Bandai’s SMP (Shokugan Modeling Project) lineup! Each of its three vector machines — Vector Sol, Vector Mars and Vector Luna — features robust joints to assist in combining and transforming into Aquarion! There are three different models available and soda-flavored gum is also included.
Fiana’s Brutishdog from “Armored Trooper Votoms” gets a new model kit from Wave! This kit eliminates the cockpit and accretion mechanism for a more accurate appearance. The custom features, such as the armaments on the right arm and the added gliding wheel, have been fully reproduced as well. The kit snaps together so glue is not needed, and marking stickers are included; the box art is by Kunio Okawara!
Sky-Eagle is the latest in the EVOROID lineup of cutely deformed robots designed by the one and only Kunio Okawara, brought to us by Kotobukiya! Sky-Eagle transforms from his robot form to an eagle form without parts replacement! He features the 3mm joints common to all figures in the series, allowing you to customize and swap parts between kits in the EVOROID lineup, as well as Frame Arms, Hexa Gear, Frame Arms Girl, Megami Device and more! He can also use M.S.G. weapons. The parts are molded in four colors, and stickers are included for the markings.
Jyaro-n is a calm tactical support Evoroid that can transform from a robot to a combat helicopter without parts replacement! He features the 3mm joints common to all figures in the series, allowing you to customize and swap parts between kits in the EVOROID lineup, as well as Frame Arms, Hexa Gear, Frame Arms Girl, Megami Device and more! He can also use M.S.G. weapons. The parts are molded in three colors, and stickers are included for the markings.
The “Poke Peace House” is a special place where humans and Pokemon live together, and Takara Tomy brings us a series of playsets to recreate it in your own collection! This kitchen set comes with figures of Pikachu and Milcery, as well as different furniture parts that you can arrange and rearrange to your heart’s content.
Fujimi’s model kit of the Japanese giant mantis, also called “Okamakiri,” is back — this time in a striking metallic silver color for a mechanical appearance! It snaps together so glue isn’t necessary, and will be posable after assembly so you can reproduce lots of intimidating mantis postures! At about 20cm long after assembly, it’s a bigger size than is achieved by real mantises.
