New Plamo Arrivals for July 22, 2022

The big news in plamo this week is Meng’s beast of an Evangelion model kit! From Bandai, we’ve got new Kamen Rider, One Piece, and a dinosaur. An inventive new Megami Device is also here this week, alongside a few kits from series that you might not know, but are worth checking out! See all the new arrivals below, and get your orders in before they’re gone.

If any kits in this post are backordered when you read this, don’t worry — Bandai is great about restocking periodically. But, you’ll want to get your order in to secure a spot in line for the next restock!

Evangelion

Multipurpose Humanoid Decisive Weapon, Artificial Human Evangelion Unit-01 (Pre-Colored Edition)

The kit features pre-colored parts and no glue is required for assembly, so you can easily build it and display it with no additional painting! It measures an impressive 47cm tall, and boasts a wide range of motion for an endless number of posing possibilities. You can even use an LED unit to recreate the core and glowing eyes. Additionally, hand parts and weapons are included for even more display options.

Megami Device

1/1 Megami Device Chaos & Pretty Alice

The latest character to join the Megami Device series, ALICE, is a new addition to the Chaos & Pretty line from the world of fairy tales! By replacing the parts, she can be displayed in either her ‘Alice’ or ‘Wild Mode,’ – each with a completely different silhouette. The model comes with three pre-painted face parts. Like the other models in the Megami Device series, this character consists of a main ‘machinika’ body designed by Masaki Apsy, but she’s also decked out with a ton of interchangeable parts to display her to your liking!

Kamen Rider

Figure-rise Standard Kamen Rider W Fang Joker

Fang Joker from “Kamen Rider W” is the next entry in Bandai’s “Figure-rise Standard” model-kit lineup! The white parts of his suit are molded in material with a high gloss, and different molding materials are used for each part to express the differences in the textures of his suit. The Saber deployment stage can be reproduced with parts exchange; parts for the Arm Saber, Maximum Saber and Shoulder Saber moves are included. The Fang Memory attached to the Double Driver is also reproduced in high detail; in addition to the hand-held Saber, various other expressive hand parts are included.

Arterygear

AG-031 Feidy (First Press Limited Edition)

The Guard Spider AG-031 Feidy from the mobile game “Artery Gear” is now presented as a poseable plastic model kit! The rollers built into the legs can be deployed and the mechanical parts of Feidy can transform into the high-speed form. Accessories include three tampo printed face parts, five hand parts, and a stand. The limited first edition also includes decals for facial expressions and markings, as well as 3 face parts without tampo printing. It’s molded in color, so painting isn’t required, either!

Kampf Riesen Mars 1941/1945

1/35 Riesen-Panzer III Late Production Type Dark Yellow

This late-production type of the Riesen-Panzer III, from Cavico Models’ “Kampf Riesen Mars 1941/1945” lineup, would be a perfect fit in your sci-fi model kit collection! It’s fully posable thanks to polycaps installed in 42 places throughout its mechanical body. The manufacturer recommends partially gluing this snap-fit kit. A dedicated 40mm rocket gun, one meter of winch wire reproduction string, and decals are included.

The Gao Ikaros from “Gao Ranger” joins the “Shokugan Modeling Project” (SMP) lineup from Bandai! Combine Gaofalcon, Gaojuraf,Gaodias, Gaolinos and Gaomajiro to form the powerful Gao Ikaros! There are four different model kits, randomly packed in boxes of four; ramune candy is also included.

Imaginary Skeleton

1/32 Imaginary Skeleton Triceratops

The mighty Triceratops now joins Bandai’s “Imaginary Skeleton” model-kit lineup! This iconic dinosaur is a favorite the world over, with its massive frill and triple horns giving it a fierce look, despite the fact that it’s a plant-eater. This kit builds into a detailed and accurate skeleton in a true-to-life pose, combining science with sculptural beauty. It’s based on the latest research, including the irregularly arranged grater-like teeth common to herbivorous dinosaurs. The frill on the skull is delicately reproduced, including cracks caused by stress fractures and traces of blood vessels. The base includes plants for a realistic look, too. A manual booklet is included that’s supervised by dinosaur export Kyoichi Tomita, too!

Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.
