This week we’ve got new plamo arrivals from Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Kyoukai Senki — and that’s only from Bandai! NieR, Muv-Luv, Cyberbots, and an adorable new Danball Senki kit are also on the scene! Check them all out above!
If any kits in this post are backordered when you read this, don’t worry — Bandai is great about restocking periodically. But, you’ll want to get your order in to secure a spot in line for the next restock!
The evolved version of the main character’s partner Digimon, Magnamon, from “Digimon Adventure 02” has been added to Bandai’s Figure-rise Standard Amplified model-kit series! It features a wide range of movement for action poses, and its shoulder armor is movable along two axes thanks to joints in the connection parts. It’s carefully molded to reflect its organic shape, too.
The Gold Sarcophagus from “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters” gets a new Ultimagear model kit from Bandai! All 33 pieces of the Ultimagear Millennium Puzzle (sold separately) can be stored inside; the chest’s exterior is precisely molded to exactly resemble the one seen in the anime.
The crimson New Ren from “Kyoukai Senki” gets a new HG model kit from Bandai! A wealth of weapons such as rifles, axes, missile launchers and shields are included; the magazine is removable and can be stored behind the shield. Three types of interchangeable hands are included (weapon holding, flat hands, grip hands). Combine multiples of this kit to recreate the united form as seen in the show!
Square Enix unveils a brand new “NieR:Automata” plastic model kit of the Flight Unit Ho229 Type-S with 9S! The flight unit Ho229 Type-S can be transformed by replacing parts of the flight form and maneuver form. It’s also articulated, so you can display it in many ways! 9S is poseable, too! Decals are included to reproduce the marking of each part.
The third character to join the “Soukou Musume” model kit line-up is the LBCS:JI BANYAN Tsugumi Kozakura! This multi-colored plastic kit includes pre-painted parts, allowing users to achieve a finished look simply by assembling the kit – and that includes four different expressions! Her skirt is movable and she comes with two sets of kitty ears. Don’t forget about those impressive nekomata tails, too!
From “Muv-Luv Alternative”, the Type-00 Tactical Surface Fighter of the Empire of Japan, TAKEMIKADUCHI TYPE-00A is joining Kotobukiya’s lineup once again as a 1/144 scale model kit! Given to officers from samurai families, Type-00A is a model with a white color scheme and the eyes and lit areas are recreated with clear plastic, allowing users to achieve a finished look close to the concept art by just assembling it. The model also includes the drop tank used in Operation Cherry Blossom. The ‘chemical injection drill’ attached to the drop tank can also be placed in the model’s hands.
From the classic 90’s fighting game “Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness” comes a MODEROID plastic model of the VA unit B-Riot! It was made via a collab with Sentinel, the creators of RIOBOT! It boasts articulated joints, a shield gun, a back-mounted vulcan cannon and interchangeable wrist parts. The left rocket arm can extend out, and its even the fingers are articulated! By changing out the left and right arm parts, you can recreate both its 1P and 2P appearances. The model features runners separated by color and pre-painted face parts, making it easy to recreate the mecha from the game with a simple assembly.
Say hello to Hunter Psalm Arya! She’s a 1/12-scale posable female warrior figure kit, complete with a robot dog and a motorcycle! A gun and a shield are also included; the shield can be connected to the motorcycle if you like. Arya comes with three interchangeable facial expressions, plus three unpainted faces and decals for her eyes, so you can create your own faces for her! Parts of her legs and body armor can be assembled with your choice of white or black parts, too.
