Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  4. 4th to comment! haha. Wish the mazinger could have a bit more articulation. especially if its bandai making it… but either way it does look very cool (including the box art)!

  5. Question: Does the new HLJ site retain an Advanced Search function? Or has that been axed?

  6. So, I used to want the store credit to get one of my favorite kits of all the time, the HG Hy-gogg, but my girlfriend surprised me with one right out of nowhere, so it would be pretty nice to win so I can get her something cute for her.

  9. After watching this week’s episode, I really am interested in the Figure Rise Standard Uzumaki Naruto and also those HG Mazinger kits. I’ve never seen any of the Mazinger shows but the model kits look pretty cool and even though it’s an HG, the model kits look amazing.

  10. I shall make a prediction: Bandai’s hottest-selling kit of 2019 shall be the ‘Figure-rise Standard Ayame.’

Especially if they fix the freaky eye problem that the Gunpla Girls have had since ‘Super Fumina.’

  13. I’m also a fan of the buildable action figure trend going on right now. It’s a good option for people that cant always afford figma and don’t mind putting a little extra work in.

  21. I love the figure-rise series. I have an SSJ Goku and a final form Frieza built and I had so much fun building it and painting it. These kits have great flexibility and can pose great, love them!

  22. Wow, each figure you showed in this ep. had something interesting in them:
While Naruto’s not my cup of tea, the magnet gimmick got me thinking about doing some modding on my current figures,
I just love the Mazinger kits, would look amazing with just a bit of wash, to make more use of the detailing,
I’m really impressed with the Jagd Doga’s poseability,
and finally… the Mechagodzilla! I Gotta Have it!

  23. Hello, as Todd and Scott said… A MACROSS SDF-1 or a VF-1 Valkyrie would be great for a PG !! When you see the new Macross Delta Valkyries (the entirely transformable ones..) that gives some idea of what it could be… And I really think theses two kits could be just awesome !!!
Ps : Hello to Ardith wich seem to appear regularly (Sorry for the english..) in the show for some times now : So welcome back !
I’m pretty sure that such knowledge about old animes and robots must be invaluable at hlj !! 😉 And we are still waiting for the return of Boss Builds too !! Hope to see you guys soon ! And, good work for the website.. seems to run fine, but i would agree with Damienhell comment, Borders between sections could help i think.. Good

  25. The giveaways in the videos made me join, but the cool stuff in the videos and my interest in this stuff will keep me here. Here’s hoping for the store credit and if not, well, I’ll at least have free entertainment.

  27. It’s nice that Bandai also gives the vintage mechas attention. Now I’m not worry that when I get old the RG RX-78-2 from decades ago is the only kit choice I have.

  28. More MG Bandai, pls!!!

  29. Might get the PG Seven Sword, but was hoping for something new.

  41. I must compliment the level of knowledge regarding products on the recent all Japan hobby show. At times it seemed that Todd and Brian were duelling information in a competitive meta-message knowledge off.
Your information showdown of facts I think it was a draw but the enthusiasm made me wont to try some military kits maybe one of those cutaway Panther tanks so I thank you both for the great entertainment.

  42. I have been looking at that mech Godzilla and was wondering if I should get it now I need to get it.

  43. That mecha godzilla looks really good, the announcement of the new PG was a little disappointing for me, I was expecting some zeon love for the PG line! don’t get me wrong Exia is an amazing suit, but If my memory doesn’t fail, the only PG Zeon suit so far is the Zaku II, and that kit has almost 20 years. We need more Zeon kits for the PG line!
Congratulations, HLJ and Hobbylink TV are awesome!

  47. Great show with Captain Scott, Todd and Ardith. I do like the new Mazinger designs from Bandai. I also liked the advanced search of the old site even if it showed Discontinued. Does the new site do something similar especially if some items may or may not come back in stock?

  48. I love it with Ardith shows up. The massive Great Mazinger looked so cool!

  49. I like the second camera addition but for the big desk shots can you bring it closer? So we can actually see what you are showing us.

  50. I would love to see Bandai makes a kit the size of the extra-large one that Ardith brought, even if only with the detail of an HG or RE line

  51. Fantastic show guys. Great Mazinger looks, well, great! Always been a huge Mazinger fan, so I’m glad to see their kits reaping the benefits of all the advances Bandai has made with their HG line.
