We all knew it was going to happen, but now Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) Season Two is a GO for 2021! We are talking about a manga that sold over 100 million by last December, after all.
We all knew this was on the way — it was just a matter of when. We’re looking forward to a great new story arc that matches the quality of the original manga, anime Season One, and the blockbuster movie “Mugen Train.” The film, by the way, was the 4th highest-grossing film in the world in 2020, even with COVID lockdowns happening.
Season One of Demon Slayer took the ‘Best Anime’ award in the 2019 Newtype Anime Awards, and then strolled over to take ‘Anime of the Year’ at the 2020 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
The Season Two Premise
The storyline for Season Two is known as the Entertainment District Arc. We can’t say much else because we’re not about to spoil anything, but the climax is superb and will surely be another home run for the series.
The recently-released trailer gives us a glimpse at the story and stunning animation. And thankfully, we’ve already got an English subtitled version thanks to Anime Factory on YouTube!
And since the manga has already ended, that means good things for fans: the entire story is complete, so there should be no need for filler in the anime, just sweet, sweet canon storytelling.

We don’t have an official start date for the new season yet, but rumor has it we can expect it in the Fall 2021 anime season. Fingers crossed!
