Following the unboxing here is the lowdown on this new Robot Damashii Guncannon release from the original Mobile Suit Gundam. As always, Bandai hasn’t disappointed and has produced an incredibly nice little figure.

While the Gundam and Zaku get a lot of love from Bandai in terms of kits and toys, the Guncannon has often been overlooked. That’s why I am so happy that we now finally have a new Guncannon in the same range as all the other Ver. ANIME releases.

If you’re new to this branch of Robot Damashii, the Ver. ANIME toys are meant to recreate the original designs from the classic Mobile Suit Gundam and couple that with modern production methods as well as updated articulation.

Previously, a lot of classic designs from the series were updated, which left fans of the show somewhat disappointed. However, Bandai has taken this on board and made these new additions very faithful toys.

Like the prior releases, the articulation and joints are amazing and very thorough. You really can get a very wide array of poses out of this Guncannon.

You also get a nice amount of accessories but the important thing is that the effects parts from prior releases are also mostly compatible with this Guncannon.

Finally, the sculpt and detailing are yet again pristine. This looks and feels just like the original animation in terms of the design.

So if you’re a fan of Mobile Suit Gundam and like good well made as well as eminently playable toys, then this Guncannon is for you.
