New Plamo Arrivals For June 25, 2021

This week’s new plamo is all about quality over quantity: a handful of new kits with some much-anticipated entries! We’ve got the Full Mechanics Calamity Gundam, plus new models from Digimon, Evangelion, and 30MM, with reissues from Escaflowne!

If any kits in this post are backordered when you read this, don’t worry — Bandai is great about restocking periodically. But, you’ll want to get your order in to secure a spot in line for the next restock!

Gundam

1/100 Full Mechanics Calamity Gundam

From “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED” comes a completely new Calamity Gundam, the first in a new series of “FULL MECHANICS” action figure kit! The head pulls out from the body and has a built-in gimmick to ease the buffer using the collar parts. The movable axis of the abdomen can swing both back and forth, and left to right. The Todesu Block is included as a handheld weapon. The grip can be swung forward for a powerful stance! The Kafer Zwei (shield) is included with a swinging barrel, as well!

Digimon

Figure-Rise Standard Amplified Dukemon

The popular “Digimon Tamers” Digimon Dukemon (also known as Gallantmon) joins the Figure-rise Standard line as an Amplified plastic model kit! The plastic model is equipped with a unique technique in regards to the Holy Shield Aegis and Holy Spear Gram, including elastic joints for a crazy amount of movement!

Evangelion

RG Evangelion Mark.06

While the Eva’s exterior may appear mecha, Bandai has taken the “Artificial Human” interior hidden beneath the armor into consideration in the design of the kit, allowing for more natural human-like action poses! The antenna, the head, and the color of the eyes are recreated using insert molding for a high quality appearance, and the halo has been recreated with PET material. The included “Spear of Cassius” has also been newly molded for this kit.

30 Minutes Missions

1/144 30MM Exa Vehicle (Cannon Bike Ver.)

A new 30MM motorcycle Exa-vehicle appears in the line – the Cannon Bike version! If the user so chooses, the bike can be completely disassembled and reassembled into an enormous cannon weapon! Many other 30MM units can ride on top of the vehicle, as well!

Vision of Escaflowne

MODEROID Escaflowne (Reissue)

It’s back! From the classic anime series “The Vision of Escaflowne” comes a plastic model kit of the Guymelef Escaflowne! The kit is posable after assembly thanks to its articulated joints, and it comes with a sword that can be displayed in both hands. Both a plastic and nonwoven fabric cape are included for two display options to choose from, and the Energists located on its shoulders and chest have been recreated with clear parts.

MODEROID Alseides (Dilandau’s Guymelef) (The Vision of Escaflowne)

From the anime series “The Vision of Escaflowne” comes a plastic model kit of Dilandau’s special model of Zaibach’s mass produced Guymelef Alseides! The plastic model boasts articulated joints and also deployable claws. Two variations of the Crima Claws are included for both arms. The Stealth Cloak is included in both plastic and nonwoven fabric forms. The unique Energists on both shoulders of Dilandau’s Alseides have been recreated with translucent parts.

Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.
