Gunpla TV – Kakao Friends Model Kits

Hello, friends! Two characters from Kakao Friends, Ryan and Apeach, get their very own model kits in two versions each, from Bandai Hobby!

For those not in the know, KaKaoTalk is the most widely-used messaging application in South Korea, and Kakao Friends are a series of cute characters featured in electronic stickers you can use in the app. The adorable Ryan is perhaps the most well known, however, his friend Apeach joins him in plastic model kit form that you can build easily on your own!

In this episode:
Ryan Heart and Pen Light
Little Apeach
Hoodie Ryan
Strawberry Little Apeach

If any kits in this post are backordered when you read this, don’t worry — Bandai is great about restocking periodically. But, you’ll want to get your order in to secure a spot in line for the next restock!

Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  1. Love the cuteness and simplicity of these kits! First time I’ve ever heard of Kakao, so that’s a lesson learned in itself! 😀

  2. Ryan Hoodie is the best

  3. might as well be a Nendoroid

  4. It’s also impressive from a technical point that these don’t have any polycaps.

  5. Little Apeach reminds me of those small creatures in the first Ni No Kuni videogame.

  6. It’s cool that we can buy that Try Slash Blade separately. Love clear plastic accessories.

  7. Alright, interesting.
