Gunpla TV – HGAC Gundam Heavyarms

The first standard-version Gundam Heavyarms kit in 20 years is here, from the hit series “Gundam Wing!” This is the first time Heavyarms’ original form — not a Custom or EW version — has gotten a kit all since the 1/144 scale no-grade kit released in 2000 (which was actually a repackage of a 1995 kit!).

Loaded up with guns and missiles, the Heavyarms is Trowa Barton’s mobile suit, made for long-range combat. This version of the kit takes full advantage of modern color separation and gimmicks to bring us a level of detail never before seen for this version of the Gundam, as it appears in the early part of the series.

To show you just how far we’ve come, we’ve also built that old model from 2000 for side-by-side comparisons!

Now, we’re just waiting for Deathscythe and Shenlong Gundams to join the lineup…

In this episode:

If any kits in this post are backordered when you read this, don’t worry — Bandai is great about restocking periodically. But, you’ll want to get your order in to secure a spot in line for the next restock!

Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  1. Great comparison of the old and new kits, definitely a worthy upgrade! Can’t wait to see what the rest of the lineup looks like!

  2. It’s very impressive indeed how far we’ve come kits wise. Though, this isn’t my favourite heavyarms. My favourite probably won’t be released outside P-Bandai.

    Also, HGUC Tallgeese when?

  6. Look decent. I don’t like the shoulder connection though.
