  3. It is not strictly Gundam, but recently Bandai has announce Figurise-6 Wild Tiger and Barnaby, as well as their motorcycles in the Figurise-6 scale. Do you reckon this means Bandai is slowing down, even abandoning the MG Figurise line in favor of the smaller, cheaper Figurise-6?

Also, not sure if you two are fans of the anime series “Accel World” or not, but do you reckon Bandai will consider create a Figurise-6 version of “Scarlet Rain” with its giant weapon platform that is in scale to the already released Black Lotus and Silver Crow?

  11. Hey Syd and Ryan, cool episode guys. I can’t believe Syd got to drink Pepsi RX-78 I wish I had some right now. Anyway I have a question for Syd; do you feel okay with owning the same gundam kit but in different scales, such as the Strike in PG and RG and maybe MG. Personally I feel weird when I see the same gundam on my shelf, but just in different scale.

The kit just loses uniqueness if it has a doppelgänger beside him.

  13. I think I will be the the director for the Macross Reboot. And I will cast Ryan as the legendary Captian Global if he can spare some of his tank building time to appear in the show. LOL.

Question to Ryan, if you are Ichijyo in Macross will you choose Lynn Minmay or Misa Hayase, and why?

To be honest, I agree with the othesr that James Cameron will probably be the one for the director role.

  14. Hey Syd and Ryan, I was wondering if I should try to get the mg Banshee. I have already built the unicorn gundam mg and the full armour unicorn, and I don’t know if it’s different enough from the unicorn for it to be worth the money, what do you think?

  15. hmm i know there was a weeks break but i got excited when there was a 40 minute episode thought there was going to be an epic build or tutorial shown off but no 30 minutes of question time, im all for the new format with ryan and some questions at the end but i sure do miss the older episodes where there was in-depth builds and tutorials, like the PGSF there was what 10 episodes dedicated to the build of that thing or the one of episodes like the whole episode dedicated to showing off what zoids kits were then building one.

like i said im all for the newer format having someone to bounce thats what she said jokes off is great but id love to see a return to more builds and such then 30 minutes of questions most of which could be answered by watching previous episodes or the simplest of google searches

  16. Hi guys, enjoyed the last episode as always.
Hi have a question for Syd: I read that enamel thinner can harm plastic, making it brittle and prone to breaking. I was thinking of using Tamiya Panel Line Accent Color on my kits, but since I just do snapfit and panel lining (so there’s no paint/coat on the plastic), do you think I should avoid it?
Would it be safer, maybe, to make my own wash using lighter fluid instead of enamel thinner?

Keep up the good work, guys, and best regards from Italy.

  18. Ryan’s Question, Director for Macross Movie.

My pick… (torn between Nolan, Cameron and Favreau)
    Director [Live Action]: Jon Favreau
    Director [CGI]: Shinji Aramaki

Shinji Aramaki directed some pretty good CGI movies like Appleseed (Ex-machina), Starship Troopers: Invasion, and some smaller stuff. I would rather see this guy team up with another Director if Macross was to be CGI.

James Cameron, nice looking movies, but it seems like he’s more interested in telling his own stories and worlds that he dreams up, rather making adaptations of games and anime (Just check out his movies.), he would make a amazing visual movie for sure.

Roland Emmerich, directed Independence Day (ID4) which had small amount of dog battles, but how well can he pull it off in the next Independence Day movie? Not too sure about him with adaptations because, lets face it, look at Godzilla… (Though he loves destruction…)

Christopher Nolan, nice Batman movies under his own vision, but how well can he do with a foriegn anime that won’t suffer too much with “down to earth”, “realistic” approach like in Batman?

Jon Favreau, Really nice looking IronMan movies, can do some pretty neat looking sky flying scenes I suppose.

    Producer: Avi Arad?
Avi has been chosen to produce Metal Gear Solid, and future game to movie adaptions too, so, if he does good with MGS then he may be a good candidate for a Macross movie =D (He has done IronMan which I really liked.)

  21. I don’t really mind the lack of coloring in the parts of the 1/35 Alexander because I get to detail it myself and I love the amount of panel lining. But the mold for the hands annoys me to no end. Poly caps please Bandai!!!
