Pop Up Parade Simon and Kamina – Get them at HobbyLink Japan

Following the unboxing, here is the review for the Pop Up Parade figures of Simon and Kamina from the hugely popular mecha anime Gurren Lagann.
These are both fixed pose statues of the characters, so let’s get on with it.
As these are fixed pose statues, there is no articulation to speak of. Instead, emphasis is placed on the sculpt and detailing.
In both case, the sculpt and detailing are spot on to the anime and nail the respective characters. Both figures also come with a stand, and Kamina gets a swappable hair part with his iconic glasses.
Switch the hair parts out though is a bit of nightmare fuel though, as you get to see Kamina bald with a hole in his head, so there is that.
The figures are also quite sturdy, but you still need to be careful with them, as there are smaller parts that can be damaged if you are not too careful.
Anyway, if you are a fan of Gurren Lagann, then these Simon and Kamina figures are great and fit right in with all my other mecha toys from the show.
