This week may be slow in terms of new arrivals, but never fear: we’re taking a look at some new plamo preorders for you instead! From popular mecha like Patlabor and Shinkalion, to whimsical Maruttoys robots and more, we’ve got some fun new kits this week. Preorders are open now, so be sure to grab a spot in line sooner rather than later to make sure you get one when they’re released!
Patlabor
Give a warm welcome to the newest Patlabor plastic model kit from Aoshima with the addition of their AV-98 Ingram 2! It’s a snap fit kit with color-coded molding, along with decals that’ll make assembling the complete model a breeze. In addition to the revolver canon and stun stick, a new Liat gun with deployable stock is also included. The leg hatches and cockpit hatch can be deployed without replacement, and the cockpit seat can be raised and lowered to allow the pilot, Isao Ohta, to be positioned in a seated position.
Shinkalion
MODEROID Shinkalion Z E5 Hayabusa
From the anime “Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion Z” comes a MODEROID plastic model kit of the Shinkalion E5 Hayabusa! It comes with two Yamanote Swords and boasts tons of articulation for all kinds of display options. The arm and leg parts are also removable, allowing you to create the Z combination! Parts for recreating Z Gran Cross are included, as well. The kit also includes colored runners, pre-painted parts and decals, so the user can make a completed product in a jiffy.
Maruttoys
Check out Kotobukiya’s newest MARUTTOYS plastic model kit – the NOSERU, available in white or sunshine yellow! Its round, unique body can expand into an enormous amount of diverse options – and you can combine it with a ton of other Kotobukiya kits with the 3mm joints. It even has 17 points of articulation.
Armored Puppet
NUMBER 57 Armored Puppet Hibernation Pod Plastic Model
Creative Field expands their NUMBER 57 Armored Puppet sci-fi model kit series with the Hibernation Pod! Its assembly structure makes it possible to change the height and footprint of the pod, so various figures can use it for hibernation! It also comes with an LED light-up function which requires button-cell batteries (not included). The figures shown are not included.
Sakura Wars
The various versions of the mighty mechs from “New Sakura Wars” are now a reasonably-priced model kits from Kaiyodo! They’re amazingly detailed and loaded with several points of articulation for posability after assembly; they snap together, too, so glue isn’t needed! Each is molded in a different color.
Shin Mashin Hero Wataru
PLAMAX MS-15 Metal Jacket GENOUMARU (Shin Mashin Hero Wataru)
From the OVA “Shin Mashin Hero Wataru” comes a PLAMAX plastic model of Metal Jacket GENOUMARU! It boasts pearlescent and metallic runners combined with a heroic design featuring draconic wings that extend from the shoulders of the magic armor. Its metal jacket armor is removable and the plastic model can be displayed as a normal version of GENOUMARU.
