yes and no. Yes it different but I think it a design flaw. This is the forth set of it I’ve built and I’ve never gotten it right.
Keep guessing tho. You’ll kick yourself when I tell you.
No I didn’t, and neither did you. I couldn’t match the blue that’s why. You are so close to it now I fell I should give you a hint. Stay in the knee area and look at the fifth picture.
The knee section on my ML kits is always painted in the suit color. I find it strange that you painted the right leg in another color. BTW you switched the upper parts of the legs – backside in front and vice versa. How did this happen?
You got it! The upper legs are reversed. It happened because I wasn’t paying attention to the manual and didn’t notice until after it was painted, and vision problems etc. Also I painted the leg differently because… Why not?
Thanks HF. I do think I am getting better because I am fooling the advise of those that came before me. I’m still prone to stupid mistakes when I rush a kit tho.
I know what you mean. I think it was because Bandai brought this one out just before the V2.0 that they thought it would be a waste. I bought it years ago with the OYW Gundam, and they are very compatible for parts swamping.
So today I was in the WH Smith in the Arndale Centre in Manchester, when I found a Model Zone hidden in the back! A guy in red Model Zone shirt told they are in 10 WH Smith stores and if they’re successful they’ll expand. So if you live near a big WH Smith, it might be worth your time going in to see if they have one. If not, demand one!
I thought they had gone bust , the one i had in ipswich certainly closed a while ago. Not that they ever stocked gundam kits , but certainly good for supplies, and other models.
yeah, that’s what I thought, but it seem WH Smith bought them. There is no way I can afford to buy a kit from them but the paints etc are a really good price.
Modelzone made a huge mistake moving their flagship store in Holborn to the new Westfield Stratford, which i think was a major factor in their demise. However i quite like the new mini Modelzones in WHsmtihs. I’ve been to Kingston, White City and Birmingham and they were all really good with just the right selection of stock for new and existing…[Read more]
@Big Rich – Looking good dude. Suggestion for taking the picture – not sure what type of camera you’re using – if it has the option, set it to “Single Point Focus” (so what’s in the centre of the frame automatically is the focal point).
Another option for taking close ups better, is, if you have the option to use Macro Mode (designed for shooting…[Read more]
Thanks for the advise. To be honest I’m only using a camera on a smart phone, the Sony Xperia S. It’s got a good little camera, but it is what it is.
What I’ve been doing is holding the camera close to the chrome barrels and slowly backing up. NO ZOOM!
I’m pretty sure I use single point focus but I will check. As for macro mode, that is…[Read more]
So… I talked to Reiji and he’s going to talk to Sunrise about getting the other 25 episodes of Build Fighters. No promises were made, but he said he’d see if there was anything he could do.
I just wanted to let you know that HLJ has the best customer in the world! I did not receive my HG Customise Campaign set wen I order a HG from you. I read on the blog that others hadn’t got […]
Why not 50 episodes Sunrise? You have the story, the gunpla, the fan base. Why Sunrise? Perhaps they’ll wait till after the 35 anniversary. Let the speculation commence!
Is it the end then?!!! Darn tootin shame if it is, best thing on any sort of goggle box (soz GoT) No more no more Sei, Reiji, China, Aila……. 🙁
They must have made shed loads of this serie’s gunpla.
Origin doea look good though, from the 35th announcement. Part way through the 2nd book, which ia also very good, better get my skates on then.
Knew there was going to be something like the allies get together and put a few surprises into build strike, or they get to combine forces with their builds, would be nice to see what the new Fenice can do.
Sad if the series ends, but it has been a treat to watch.
Well they can’t do 50 episodes. They were still working on the final episode of Unicorn, plus they’re working on Origin. There isn’t enough man power to devote to two large series and an OVA. With ow extensive Origin is in manga, it’s very likely that the anime version will exceed 50 episodes.
wait hold on what? You’re gonna put the stickers on the kit and paint over them and this is gonna save you time how? really I’m confused, is that what you meant? really I’m lost here if that’s what you meant. At first I thought you meant you were gonna hand paint the details that the stickers would have given you which would have been awesome if…[Read more]
Sorry for being confusing. To put it as simple as I can, I wish to cut out some foil stickers WITHOUT peeling them, paint them, peel them and put them on my kit. NO detail will be lost and it will a lot easier than masking. It’s for the yellow wing detail on HGAC Wing Zero. I want to know if the paint will stick to the stickers, I will of course…[Read more]
ahh I see you want to change the color of a part in the sticker. Well the paint should stick no problem, don’t know whether or not that’s a good idea or not but like they say no guts no glory, give it a shot.
I’ve never done that, but I have used stickers as ready-cut masks. That works pretty good and saved a lot of time doing the gold on Sinanju’s shield for instance.
An episode for the ages with all those cameos! Now I’m just biding my time while I wait for Bandai to make the Fenice Rinascita…a “reborn phoenix” indeed! Such a beauty.
Looks nice. Too bad apart of first photo rest is out of focus. Try taking photos in macro mode.
Thanks man. I know my camera sucks, I though tit was on Macro Mode. LOL.
