When you paint some parts in gloss and other in matte, the camera has no idea what to focus on.
Either way, not bad for someone with vision problems.

  @Big Rich – Looking good dude. Suggestion for taking the picture – not sure what type of camera you’re using – if it has the option, set it to “Single Point Focus” (so what’s in the centre of the frame automatically is the focal point).
  Another option for taking close ups better, is, if you have the option to use Macro Mode (designed for shooting small objects close up – shorter focal distance and depth of field).

  Thanks for the advise. To be honest I’m only using a camera on a smart phone, the Sony Xperia S. It’s got a good little camera, but it is what it is.
  What I’ve been doing is holding the camera close to the chrome barrels and slowly backing up. NO ZOOM!
  I’m pretty sure I use single point focus but I will check. As for macro mode, that is something I will definitely look into.
