Gunpla TV – MODEROID Escaflowne

From the classic anime series “The Vision of Escaflowne” Good Smile Company brings us a a MODEROID plastic model kit of the Guymelef Escaflowne! With parts molded in color as well as some details pre-painted, this kit was a snap to put together and looks quite nice once completed!

Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  1. Loving how some series are just so timeless that they come back as figures/kits updated with the latest modelling techniques, and Escaflowne is one my favourite animes from the 90’s! Figure looks amazing, love it to bits, need to get one now so I don’t run out of things to do while social distancing!

  5. Maybe you realized already, but your shop search is broke at some point. Neither searching for “Moderoid” or “Escaflowne”, shows this kit. Too bad I missed to preorder it. I liked the TV Series and the Movie.

    • Unfortunately, the kit is discontinued, so it won’t come up in the site search. If you want to check it out anyway, there’s a link in the blog post that will take you right to it!

      • Unfortunately a bit frustrating when you follow the link to the shop and it is marked as discontinued (or order stop), which happens a lot in the past. Let’s hope it will be reissued back again despite the “Discontinued” mark. Maybe mark as “Order stop” so it will also appear in the search results.

  6. Escaflowne was part of my childhood, but I just have vague memories of it. I really should re-watch the entire series.

  8. Such an elegant design, and it still looks like it could fit next to a Gunpla collection, which is a plus.
