Dave takes a look at another Good Smile Company kit this time: Ariel, from the Moderoid Line. Based of Yuichi Sasamoto’s sci-fi novel ‘ARIEL,’ this mecha comes with a C-TYPE sword and shield along with various hairstyles. We also take a look at some decal application to add some extra detail. We can’t wait for the Flight Unit version to land in September!

What a cool design for a robot. Not too simple, yet not too busy. Quite classy.

Really liking the design of this model. Show those joints.
TheShadowGamer
Knee joints are very unique, kinda wanna replicate them now lol.

I will never understand how high heels are seen as practical. Either in combat or day to day. Though especially in combat.
Kinda would prefer this to look more androgynous personally. As a robot design its pretty cool, but does it need to be sexualised as well…?
Or at the very least, where are my sexy boy bots?
sHades
In ARIEL’s defence she’s a 30-year-old design.
Doesn’t JoJos have some sexy boy bots?
SciBott
Figuarts (and Figure-Rise), Megami Device, Framearms and now these? At least customizing is getting a lot of part options now…

Oh it is from Good Smile. Slick design and box art. But her face is little bit creepy.
I love the moderoid Mazinkaisers.

Such elegance and beauty for a mechanoid! Would love to get her!!

That cover art is looking especially nice. It makes me think the novel must be an older one, like late 80s, early 90s?
sHades
She’s on the cover of the March 1989 Hobby Japan.
There’s an OVA too, I think it came out in ’86
