If you’re looking for street fighting giant robots, then look no further than “G Gundam”! This blast from the past features one of the earliest examples of an inner frame in a Gunpla kit–specifically designed for dynamic fighting action poses.
This one comes with multiple expressive hands, an assortment of decals, a bonus figure of Domon Kasshu, and more! Does this kit hold up after 19 years? Tune in to find out!
And if you’re also a fan of “G Gundam,” be sure to watch for our special offer, which is good until the end of the month!
In this episode:
– 1/100 MG G Gundam
If any kits in this post are backordered when you read this, don’t worry — Bandai is great about restocking periodically. But, you’ll want to get your order in to secure a spot in line for the next restock!

Looks so awesome, God Gundam sounds so much more awesome than Burning Gundam, but I can see why they had to change it for the English localization… Not the most complex design, but really cool and definitely has an eastern fantasy aesthetic to it! And who can forget the amazing moves it had in the anime? Definitely amazing to see those iconic moves being re-created in this kit, definitely going to consider getting this guy!

I do like the screw design

MG GF13-017NJII G Gundam came out 2001 November.
MG GF13-001NHII Master Gundam came out 2002 March.
MG GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam came out 2002 May.
MG GF13-021NG Gundam Spiegel came out 2002 August.
There was a G Gundam Version Up Parts release in 2002 November that came in the 2002 November issue of Dengeki Hobby.
There was a ‘Special Edition’ (i.e. not P-Bandai but limited release) for:
MG GF13-017NJII Hyper Mode G Gundam that came out 2003 April.
MG GF13-001NHII Hyper Mode Master Gundam that also came out 2003 April.
The MG GF13-017NJII G Gundam definitely would benefit from an updated release.
I’m surprised that Bandai hasn’t even announced anything yet; especially after releasing the HiRM version.
Speaking of which, there was never a HiRM GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam.
Weird.
🤔
Anyway, if we ever do get an MG 2.0 for the existing kits for Mobile Fighter G Gundam, I suspect we’ll finally get the others as well. We’re definitely long~ overdue for new kits. 2001… Wow. That’s almost 2 decades.

0:46 I don’t know if it’s from the series, but that pose is freaking cool.
