Artist Daniel Arsham will hold his third art project, “A Ripple in Time,” in collaboration with Pokemon, starting on February 5, 2022. G in Shibuya Parco and other venues in Tokyo! Each venue will feature a variety of works that intersect Arsham’s ‘archaeology as fiction,’ in which contemporary objects are replaced by geological works that represent a suspension in time combined with natural elements.
At NANZUKA UNDERGROUND in Jingumae, Tokyo, in addition to exhibiting sculptures, they will also present a short animation work in a collaboration between Arsham and Kunihiko Yuyama, who has been the general director of the Pokemon TV anime since its broadcast in 1997. We hope that they’ll make the special animation available to the general public online sometime after the exhibit!
