Unfortunately, I have misplaced the screw and nut for this part of the build…
Most likely I trashed it by accident and didn’t noticed…
So can I just ask around HLJ.com for the parts? Thanks for all that replies.
Hmm…couldn’t you go to a hardware store and buy it? The types of screws and nuts that Bandai uses are fairly standard. If not, there are parts services online that you can go to. 🙂
Hey folks, it’s been a while! 😛 Ok ok, just a week or so. Sure felt like a long time since I last built a Gundam LOL… I’ve decided to build the most precious one in my collection. The gentei Megasize RX78-2 Chrome finishing. It’s the most expensive I’ve ever bought LOL… so this will be the centrepiece of my collection. The pièce de…[Read more]
Hi Jetlee @jecht-kian this guy is a 1/48 scale a.k.a. Megasize… you should be able to get the normal version though I think it’s hard to get this chrome version. I bought it last yr during Gunpla Expo 2012 here in Singapore and I bought the 2nd last piece. Hope you can find it!
@projectx1125, yea this is definitely my favourite buy. Of cos I had to pay a premium for it and luckily I got it at half price of S$289 abt US$230 (U.P. S$579). This is more expensive than the PGs that I bought from Taiwan. But totally worth it cos i love it to death!
@ryan, I think I have an idea of what it is. I’ve seen some pictures of it and it looks like its really bigger than @Syd‘s PG. If my guess is correct, is it the “Bandai x Threezero Full Metal Ghost” ? XD
@scid bro, I will post more details when they announce it. Usually they will release one Gentei kit every day. U can take a drive down from M’sia. 😛
I guess you’re right @Daniel clear red on yellow will result in orange. I guess paiting it with flourescent pink would look just fine, although it wont be clear anymore.
Sinanju has 4 beam axe effect parts. She could give it a try on those two she won’t be using. I’d guess 90% of Sinanju owners decide to use the longer ones anyway, the ones she’s used. Regarding the orange look, it may not be a bad thing however a trial and error thing would be the best course of action at this moment, don’t you agree? I’ll quote…[Read more]
She could always try out the color on the runner the clear parts came from if she still has it. Granted I haven’t built the Sinanju so I don’t really know how much runner there is..just a suggestion I guess.
im usually all for the gunmetal inner frame, but on this i think the black would look pretty good, because of the contrasts. as for the sabers, i actually think the more orange tone sabers would look good anyway if nothing else, they’ll be more visually interesting than the yellow everyone’s used to seeing, tho if the color is strong enough to…[Read more]
nice..I already build mine but apparently the legs cannot withstand the weight of the backpack and the include the backpack support but have to spread the legs a bit..other than that this is a great kit..happy building and happy putting the decals 🙂
Went to a store at my hometown the others day and saw this kit..not a moment too soon bought it instantly and doing the kit using nail clipper only coz all my equipment i left it at home 🙂 be warned the foils cannot cope with all the articulation this kit have..so I swapped it using gold markers instead.
I already bought it and stacked up at my private warehouse..going to delivered with my other order..3.0 would be interesting kit and hopefully it would deliver more than the RG (>_<)
Here is my completed RG Strike Freedom. Again similar to my RG Aile Strike, all I did was panel lines, decals and matt clear coat. This RG comes together well and can really hold its pose once you finally get it there. You really need an action base due to the heavy backpack, but it looks awesome doing it’s air poses anyway. I really wish they…[Read more]
Ho! Ho! Ho! Feels like Christmas came early lol… Here’s my huge box from HLJ as expected. A little disappointed it was only 2/3 filled hahaha. I looooooooooove my new tees! And wifey is happy with her Rilakkuma food sets and One Piece Kimono Styling. 🙂 All is good…
Man. Ever since I placed my orders I kept talking to my wife about Gunpla and only now she laughs at me and called me a nerd. Which I laughed back and said that’s how I learned the shining fingers. And just nudged me and walked away laughing.
Enjoy Phillip.
I should’ve received my order from genteikits.com today but they shipped it with SAL instead of EMS, DOH!.
The thing is, I will be away for holiday next week and the package better be here by then or it will be sent back and they have to send it again. Not my fault. I don’t think I will order again from them.
Hmmm I wonder if he “accidentally” sent by SAL just to earn that little bit more despite us paying for EMS. That sucks @bode76… I am waiting for my 2 kits to be sent by September cos one of them is a Sept release. Hope they dun screw it up. If they do, I will also stop using them.
Hi @Ryan, I just started watching the anime… it’s pretty nice. In that anime world, men don’t drive tanks… in fact it’s absurd to relate men to tanks. Only women drive tanks. So tanks and girls in short skirts in an anime… what could be more interesting? LOL… but i digress. As for the kit, i just opened it up, it’s all grey. So that means…[Read more]
@superxvegito… that Girls und Panzer kit may take a while to complete… cos i am pampered by Bandai’s colour separation lol… Need to go pick up some spray cans and learn how to paint!
yay to the big haul and yay for a good time and fun 😀 family time ? and i see a doven wolf XD and your pretty display cabinet, must show us your collection Phillip :D~~!
@Philliptan, I saw the astray gold frame for $34.95 today at the local hobby shop. I should’ve bought that.
Maybe next time I go there if it’s still avail, I’ll buy it.
Lucky you @bode76! I’ve been searching for it for 2 yrs. It was on Open Orders at HLJ for the last 6 months or so. HLJ just managed to get some stock for it and I shipped it straight off LOL… I have all the Astray frames now… for these Non grade 1/100 at least. Bunch of other sizes for the Red Frame of cos.
haha, they look at me like, erm your in the wrong store? she’s prob buying this for someone else. Then when i start talking to them their like… oh wow LOL
I’m from Singapore Leena. Ever been here? Not to far from Australia and we have tons of Gundams lol… I love Australia… was there years ago with the Air Force and was based in RAAF Amberley near Brisbane and RAAF Darwin. Also travelled through a whole chunk of Victoria from Halls Gap to Phillip Island. (Yea, my island)
In this episode Syd takes a look at the history of the 1/100 MG Gundam RX-78-2, and how it has developed over time to the just arrived Ver.3.0. And Syd shows his own colour variation of the 3.0. You can see the full episode here http://www.hobbylink.tv/gunpla-tv-126-gundam-rx-78-2-ver-3-0-ver-2-0-ver-ka
The Real type RX-78 2 Looks fantastic Syd, and its going to look better once the decals are on, though like the normal 3.0/ a ver Ka kit seems naked without decals. I don’t know if anyone shares this opinion as well but it’s something that I can’t help think. Also with September, October and December Master Grades all sorted out, what do you think…[Read more]
Hey, I am curious about the MG Aile Strike ver RM. Is the Aile Strike backpack on that kit compatible with the MG Launcher/Sword Strike gundam? On that note does anyone think that the Rouge Ootori ver RM backpack will be compatible as well?
I can already assume that the Launcher/Sword equipment wont work on the RM kits due to the change in…[Read more]
yes, the aile strike RM’s Backpack is compatible with the MG L/S strike gundam.
the expansion pack includes the runners that was included in the MG L/S strike kit.
pros to getting the RM and L/S simultaneously
*you have two models!
*you can have the strike as a separated model or you can sell it’s runners.
*no ordering from bandai premium hobby…[Read more]
I’ve been out of action in the hobby for about half a year now: I was kind of burnt out toward the end of last year, and early this year I moved, and it’s taken me a while to set up my new workspace. But I just got this done and installed. Sieg Zeon, baby.
Hmm…couldn’t you go to a hardware store and buy it? The types of screws and nuts that Bandai uses are fairly standard. If not, there are parts services online that you can go to. 🙂
I will be visiting a hardware store today, just want to know my second option once my search locally hits the wall.
Hmm, not quite sure if I’m allowed to post referrals of sites here. I’ll e-mail you the one I go to for replacement parts.
Do you have access to a local RC shop? I build 1/10 and mini-z racers, they share a lot of the same screws/nuts.
None that I can find… If you happen to live in Guam or know anyone here, then please let me know.
