i saw it as more as a challenge to do something different. the fact i finished something worth posting (despite the maddening frustration) was an achievement. I actually liked looking at what other do and it has helped my next build. I wouldn’t get too hung up about prizes but they were a good incentive…..im more pissed that after the results…[Read more]
Français ici ! Yeah I’m starting to be a bit anxious about the results. I think I did OK, but I saw some pretty good builds in the WIP posts and I’m not sure where I stand. that was a race to the deadline though, not sure I’d like to do that again.
Yeahhh ! (^_^)/

well might as well post me pics that i submitted. anyone else that hasnt already posted their final stuff wanna give it a show?…. i like seeing how people make the most of…
We’re just anxious about who wins. I’m not holding my breath. I have a number of winners in mind. Given gunpla is the bread and butter, I’m guessing the gunpla entries will snag half of the awards. That’d be no surprise.
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, I pant with Multi Color Change Effect Paint, Blue Violet Green , usually we call Bunglon Colour , i put some LED light in front light and back…
You’re not the only one. I see contestants posing their names, account #, etc. in these forums. I know they didn’t submit their entries.
I have yet to see a company-held contest that accepts entries in forums. All of them require entries to be submitted via a webpage or email. This contest requires WIP photos here so I think that may have been…[Read more]
I think they have sooo many to give a confirmation to that it’ll take a while if at all, however you should have seen a submitted successful note on the web page when you submitted. I did and took a picture if it. I still haven’t received a confirmation either.
Now that the deadline has passed, I’d like to wish everyone good luck again! I’ve seen a lot of really good looking submissions pass through here and I’m really looking forward to the results.
It’s been fun building with you all, may the best entry win!
Tried to submit my piece but it seems that the timezone had to be an earlier time zone. So this is what im going to submit at this time. Not sure why it ended early. But it was fun i suppose.
I believe they mentioned in one of the episodes to remember that it was Japan time. So that would be around 12 in the afternoon for Eastern Time on the 30th.
Thank you for your post!
Indeed, as we’re in Japan and all of our business runs on JST, this competition also ended at 12am May 1st JST (entries accepted until April 30th at 11:59pm).
Though we’ve mentioned the timezone here and there — in videos, public questions, and in support emails — we realize that the timezone was not stated clearly in…[Read more]
I think for future reference it might be best to include the deadline equivalent in an EU and an NA timezones as people tend to forget that timezones are a thing.
Well here it is. I wasn’t able to finish it as fully as I wanted, but this is what I’ve got. The name is inspired by a part of the process where I accidentally discovered that I’d be able to do something interesting with the paint, as well as my original designs;
Shortly after taking pictures I messed up part of my kit. Scratched the shoulder while posing it with the shield, bent the antennae and one of the arms got really lose. :/
Painted gunpla should be handled like newborns. No jokes. Don’t touch the mods. Also, if possible, use lacquer + top coats to protect the paints. Even better, sand/polish EVERY panel.
Oh man, it’s like Christmas! After 2 and a half months, Gourai Type 10 is finally painted and ready, and not a moment too soon! Without further ado, I present to you my f…
Looks great! Really clean build!
Did you paint the skin parts or only top-coated them? Waiting for my Innocentia to arrive but I am really afraid to painting skin and yours looks perfect.
Thanks! Yeah, I was afraid of painting the skin too, so I decided I’d just top coat it. I’m glad I did, though, because it turned out looking great, no paint required! I also welded the seams on her thighs with tamiya thin cement, and that went a long way toward making them look natural. I definitely recommend seam welding any flesh parts, just…[Read more]
It definitely looks great. Noted all, it would be my first articulated kit so all the tips help, I usually build military vehicles, but her smugness was too much to ignore and decided to give it a try, also got a pair of little armory AKs, they are compatible right?
Any recommendations for using Mr. Topcoat, I am getting the same one ASAP, the…[Read more]
All the Little Armory weapons work with FA:Gs. That rifle in the pics is the LA Type 89 assault rifle, and it comes with Gourai Type 10 (since it’s an assault rifle used by the JSDF). Their hands are flexible and rubbery so they can hold a lot of handheld weapons, including stuff meant for gundams or others.
Excellent! I’ll take all that into account. Thanks man.
It’s pretty cool she is modeled around the JGSDF’s MBT, painted on JGSDF camo and wields their issued assault rifle, great work!

Same as you !
I also found inspirations…
Thank you for your answer ! 🙂
Good to hear I’m not the only one feeling that way. In this competition, I learned a few things.
It’s reassuring ! ^^ Yes this competition was very instructive and loaded with inspiration!
Thank youu Otaku for your answer ! 🙂
I meaned learning is incentive enough. Prizes are a bonus.
ok ok sorry ^^” I admit that the prizes also boosted me 😀
It is all still fun though whatever the outcome, right 😀
Yes it’s true 😉
The fun parts were the hard work, as ironic as it sounds.
