Yeah that would be sick. I reckon you might be able to fit a SMLED attached to a LR41 or AC10 battery and leave that in that small chamber where the GN Drive will fit. That might work.
Yeah that’s true. Maybe an addition to the HobbyJapan magazines – that might be nice.
There is going to be a lot of Gentei for the Exia I fear!!! As for LED’s don’t forget those 3rd party beam sabre light up handles, so no reason Bandai can’t do tiny LED units. Sure they could charge an arm and a leg, and would sell like hot cakes.
Yeah i’m pretty excited. If only they came out with the repairs though like the R1 and R2 but a straight up Exia is also pretty nice. I think the swords are chromed as well which is going to be awesome.
what i really wanted is a tiny GN Drive LED, but that is somewhat impossible for a kit this tiny, well the repair parts is a nice touch, somehow i think, they’ll sell the repair parts separately just to generate more cash.

I would definitely try to fit th 3mm led in the GN drive..hopefully they fit..tried to fit on the Aile Strike but too much mod and I think I give up already
There is the MG The-O and MG Ex-S Gundam.
I would go with the PG Astray, I personally like it the best out of the three and is right in the middle between the two (price wise). But that’s just my opinion, I heard that the PG Strike Freedom is also pretty good. The PG Mk II is a bit older than the two but if you don’t mind that then it may be a…[Read more]
You can always handbrush the paints onto the piece for the eyes if you’d like. You can try and brush both colors onto the piece and hope you have a steady hand or you can brush the clear color you want onto the whole piece (make sure it is lacquer). After this is done, you can brush on the black paint (Acrylic) then once the paint has dried, you…[Read more]
Oh no I meant that I haven’t modified it yet to fit an LED. I was planning to but might do it for my next build. I think only some of the newer MG’s have a small chamber for LED support built straight out of the box. Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks heaps. Yeah that’s true, I’ve only built 3 lead Gundam MG’s so far (going to start building the MG Nu Gundam soon) and all of them have been pretty unique with design and colour distribution but the wing does look very nice along with them.
It was a very nice build and hope that you enjoy building yours as well. Thanks for having a look 🙂

That Exia looks amazing. Same goes for the O Gundam.
I have a feeling that your’e Exia is going to have more detail than the upcoming real grade. Great job man.
Hey guys how’s it going? Iv’e finally finished another Gundam. Its taken me almost 5 most because of time constraints and the fact that I just forgot I had a kit waiting to be painted. So here’s my MG Wing Gundam EW Painted/Customized build.
Here’s a link to my blog to see more: http://baui95.blogspot.com.au/2014/02/mg-wing-gundam-ew.html
Nice , im building wing gundam ver ka atm , looks pretty much the same apart from the colours i think. I like the fact that its quite a bit different from the other lead gundams i have.

I agree with Nick on the Duel Assault and Buster Gundam. You may also be interested in the RG Mk II as it has a very military look and is very sturdy (still one of my favorite kits). Are you looking for just MG’s or are you also interested in the HG’s and RG’s?
Oops, sorry for the confusion. I think the highest grade I have built yet would have been a few HGs… Beargguy or Agrissa. Here a vid that explains some of what I’ve built: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVs-VJ5aGKo
..cost is more of an issue. I can afford those 400 dollar ones, but man my wife would kill me. lol So I’m trying to stay around the…[Read more]
From looking at some of dioramas from the GBWC’s none of them seem to have any visible wires so I assume that they are all hidden and as a result, so is the power source. I think they all wire the LED’s to a hidden battery underneath the diorama so as to not detract from the presentation. Hope that helps and best of luck on your diorama.
I’ve definitely got to try out that gunmetal/smoke combination sometime soon. Iv’e never tried the Createx paints either. I wanted to try the fluorescent paints from Createx but its a little too expensive to ship here unfortunately.
Yeah that’s true sometimes multiple coats is the only way to get the results you want.
I used the gunmetal/smoke combination on the backpack of RX078 V3.0 that I just finished. It came out well. I also used it on some of the RG Destiny wing sections.
Hey guys here’s the new bunch of the additions to the Gunpla pile. I think it’s expanding too fast for my own good haha.
If you’d like to drop by my blog, underneath is just a link to the blog post.

Yeah unfortunately I fear the same thing. And yeah I totally forgot about those but that’s true, they would still sell out in an instant.
