ok heres my question, i’ve decided from now on that i want to try and use as less foil stickers as possible.

especially never for the head/eyes/camera for the gundam anymore.

does anyone paint their gundam eyes with like clear colours?

how do you paint your gundam eyes? i can’t afford a airbrush at the moment, so what are the other methods?

    please and thanks!

You can always handbrush the paints onto the piece for the eyes if you’d like. You can try and brush both colors onto the piece and hope you have a steady hand or you can brush the clear color you want onto the whole piece (make sure it is lacquer). After this is done, you can brush on the black paint (Acrylic) then once the paint has dried, you can use a Q-tip with some isopropyl alcohol or windex and gently wipe of the black paint from the raised parts. This will then show off the clear paint of the camera’s while still having the black paint onto the rest of the piece.
Hope this helps you out 🙂

    • …You can use gundam markers if you choose, there is a green eye color and of course black for standard gundam eyes, gonna try using some acrlic paint for a gouf’s eye but debating on getting some plastic sticker jewels instead provided they fit.

I do mine the same way as baui except i use clear acrylics with black enamel on top. Then some paint thinner on a qtip to clean the black off the raised areas. Its called a reverse wash.

        • I do it the way Ace mentioned. Put down silver paint, and put a clear color over it. Proceed to put black enamel over the part. I did it free hand before, but this way is easier.
