Howdy all, wanted some advice on purchasing kits. I am in love with a certain style and instead of spending time on the website (it’s hard on my eyes because the pics are so small) I wondered if you guys/gals have any advice.

I prefer chunkier kits, botys like Guncannon or Scopedogs or even the Beargguys. I don’t like to paint them and prefer to leave them looking like plastic toys you’d buy in the store.

Like I said I’m picky. I like higher quality but don’t like spending more than 50 $ each. Any tips or advice on kits that have that heavy/tank-like look?

    Thanks!

    Beau

    • well…MG Geara Doga is a great piece. MG Doms are awesome. not really tank types but they are big and neat kits.

    • A kit that would fit your preferences would be the mg Z’Gok. I haven’t built one but it’s one my favorite ms designs. Aparently it is a very good kit and I’m going to pick one up myself in future. The HGUC is apparently also very good but I prefer mg kits to hg’s.

Another would be the mg Duel Gundam Assault shroud and mg Buster Gundam. They are both very nice kits of very high quality.

      • I agree with Nick on the Duel Assault and Buster Gundam. You may also be interested in the RG Mk II as it has a very military look and is very sturdy (still one of my favorite kits). Are you looking for just MG’s or are you also interested in the HG’s and RG’s?

        • I would also recommend the RG mk-ii add it is a really fun build that looks really good

        • Oops, sorry for the confusion. I think the highest grade I have built yet would have been a few HGs… Beargguy or Agrissa. Here a vid that explains some of what I’ve built: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVs-VJ5aGKo

..cost is more of an issue. I can afford those 400 dollar ones, but man my wife would kill me. lol So I’m trying to stay around the 50 dollar range. Already there are some suggestions in this thread that are awesome! Thanks!

I also like the ones that look like toys, like the LBX toys and the Beargguy. Are the LBX WAY too simple to build, I want a bit of a challenge!

Thanks again, all. I am going to be making a video of my top 5 types of Gundam/other kits. I’ve got a few in here that I will feature!
