Does anyone know if the Launcher and sword striker packs from the old master grade will work on the rm?

    • I have the standalone pack. I compared the plates to Dalong.net’s images of the old Sword/Launcher Strike out of curiosity. The decals are different, but I think that the plates are the same, as I didn’t notice any discrepancies between the plates included in the standalone pack and those of the old kit.

      • Yeah i’m pretty sure back when it was released it was confirmed that the old striker packs work with the RM.

    • Yes they do work, the P-Bandai version is just a remold/recolour of the original.
The decals are different on each but you get an extra strike out of it.

Well im basically finished with the gouf. Due to long shifts at work no pics yet. I should have them up by sunday.

Tried doing a little recap of my wip on the forum and got the”this post must be approved by admin” message so hopefully that gets sorted out and I can get my wip thread going again. I plan to start work on sinanju later this wee…[Read more]

That thing is awesome! I wonder how much a master grade kit would be if we got one that.

    • 90,000 yen and up. We probably won’t even get a HG for it, just because it’s so massive. A 116 meter MA would tower over anything.

I do mine the same way as baui except i use clear acrylics with black enamel on top. Then some paint thinner on a qtip to clean the black off the raised areas. Its called a reverse wash.

    • I do it the way Ace mentioned. Put down silver paint, and put a clear color over it. Proceed to put black enamel over the part. I did it free hand before, but this way is easier.

Looking good. You should put the gm head on that ground gundam in the back ground haha!

    • Thanks guys! Can’t wait to do some more with my airbrush. And I’ve actually done that one ace lol, honestly kinda of want to kitbash the gm chest with gundam parts to make a custom ground gundam but I probably won’t because I’d have to buy three kits to do what I want too.

Thanks man. Haha I like to deviate from ban dai’s instructions and build the frame on my kits first!

    2.0’s are where its at

    • My cousin just built that model. It’s great.

      • I absolutely love the 2.0 Zaku. I’m probably going to wind up owning something like 5 or six of them… Too many color options lol

    Thats a beautiful smooth finish

    • What a wonderful color scheme. Bright greens are usually overlooked in Gunpla. And what a smooth finish. If you told me it was sprayed, I would believe you.

      • Thanks for the kind words, guys. Seeing the paint job as it happens makes all the hard work worth it. Sadly, it’s not all perfect. The other forearm has an obvious boo-boo and instead of stripping and starting over, I’m going to try make it look like weathering/damage.

Alright i went with the grey. The gouf is fully painted. All thats left is to apply the decals and some light weathering. Im going do some drybrushing, add some rust and corrosion to some spots and dull coat. Should have him finished up tomorrow.

I also tried out that liquid gold on sinanjus crests. Im going to hit that with some metallic black…[Read more]

Cant decide on a color for the goufs heat rod. Was going to use sky grey but im kind of thinking about a metallic now. Anyone got suggestions.

    • Repeatedly heated metals wouldn’t have much of a luster to them, so I say go with the grey you were looking at initially.

    • As long as it is wrapped around Gundam’s neck, the color doesn’t really matter… 😉

    • I vote for the grey (probably a darker shade?) as well, or a flat-coated metallic if you really want to use one.

      • If say a grey too, possibly with some dry brushing to give somewhat of a worn I have slapped many a poor fool with this thing look
