Gunpla TV – Vic Viper Gradius IV

P.M. Office A Plum brings us their plastic kit of the Vic Viper Ver. Gradius IV! Gradius first appeared in video game arcades in 1985. This Vic Viper spacecraft hails from 1999’s Gradius IV, which was released both in arcades and on the PlayStation 2. The kit is molded in color so painting is not necessary, however, a bit of glue is needed.

Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  1. Really cool looking kit! Nice blast of nostalgia, shame about the lack of articulation, but a really nice representation of this classic jet nonetheless! Love it!

  2. Seriously tempting. Though my prices are kinda screwy right now….

    • Do you mean you’re having trouble with pricing on hlj.com?

      • Yes, the prices are appearing as thousands of my local currency. Things like a pucchiguy for instance nearly 400 dollars or so. It usually clears itself up after a while, but it’s a little odd the first few times you see it.

  5. Oh, I thought it was something related to Zone of the Enders. xD

    • Not entirely false, since the same Vic Viper was in Zone of the Enders after all. just that this version isn’t Z.O.E’s.

  7. Reminds me of so many Star Fox fighter designs. Love the blue and white color scheme of space ships.
