  1. While look simple in Unicorn mode (which I like the most of the 2), the Destroy mode has gotten me to like the design a lot more. For being a 2007-ish mold, it is of excellent quality and the changes Bandai has done to increase the articulation are a nice touch.
I thank you HLJ for holding this awesome contest. It was great to see all the models people have chose to do and their updates posted!

    • P.S. Ah I forgot to mention the background is not part of the final entry as it’s just a nice background to take pictures of my kits. Just in case

  11. It has been a lot of fun, making something different using techniques and things I don’t normally use.
The past month have been very entertaining, will probably do this to all my builds from now on.

  12. Can we actually submit more than one entry?

  13. I’m about to submit my entry but have to shrink my pics to acquire the proper max file size and picture size. I’m just confusion with the portrait and landscape requirement. Is it (W X H), 1200 X 1200 px max or
for portrait: 1200 x (any) px max and
for landscape: (any) x 1200 px max?

    • Never mind my question. I finally understand it, and manage to submit my entry. Thanks and good lucky to all the us.

    • Landscape: Maximum Width 1200 – Minimum Width 900px
      Portrait: Maximum Height 1200 – Minimum Height 900px 72dpi
      Hope this helps.

      • Ryan Gunpla TV,

I’ve been resizing my pics to fit the file size and image size requirements. That’s no problem. But the 72dpi part has me snagged. My camera keeps delivering 96dpi. Do I need to find some imaging software to try to change the dpi. I know this is probably a dilly question but I just don’t know much about this.

        Thank you!

        Reply
        • Don’t worry too much about the dpi as 96dpi is still acceptable.

  17. Hi. Is it possible to submit more than 8 photos at a time? Because after adding the 4 requirement photos (front, left, right, back), it only really leave us with 4 slot.

  21. Hello, I would like to ask if the front, side and back shot are with the weapons on or not. Thank You.

    Reply
    • I think it’s your choice on whether to put in the weapons or not. I personally wouldn’t do it, as it would cover some of the detail on the sides of the arms, but then again you have the bonus of showing off the weapons when they’re in a static position. It’s a win-win situation, really.

  25. is it ok to use photoshop to resized the images? Also I put a logo on the corner is that ok?

    • You can use photoshop to resize images. You can add a logo as long as it is unobtrusive.

  26. should there be a confirmation of the submission in my e-mail or just with the message in the green box that anounced that my message was sent successfully

    Reply
    • Just the green box.

      Reply
      • Huh? what do you mean by green box? I don’t recall when I send my photo few months back got a green box…. so does that mean my mail didn’t send out? Should I send again?

  27. Would it be fine if exceed 450kb?

    Reply
    • I have photos of ~12mb with no clue what to do… Seems awkward to take miniature (450KB) photos of detail work for a competition. Resizing them would kind of ruin the quality.

      Reply
      • I guess resized doesn’t look all that bad after all. 🙂 Cheers!

  28. I wish the best of luck to all the entries. I was really inspired by the great work done for this competition, and I would like to thank the HLJ team for hosting this model competition for us.

Also is there any way to confirm if my entry was sent correctly? or if all the pictures uploaded? And one last question – Is there any way we can see the entries, like some online album where we can just see them without commenting? It would be like going to a real live competition and admiring the entries?

  29. Seems like a waste to need a left side and right side pic for a symmetrical kit …

  30. When it will be possible to post the pictures of the finished work on my blog? Is it after the 1st January or after you announced the winners?

  36. This was really fun! Got a great time participating for the first time in a competition. Since it is my first competition and my model is my first Mg i’m quite nervous about it, but i thing i will have to wait for the end or January to see the result of my work. Oh, it will be awesome if in january Syd or Rian call my name as one of the winners!

  37. A doubt
sent after the Final Entry, is there any confirmation message via email? Or is it just that message at the end of the page confirming receipt?

  38. Thankfully, I manage to sent my entry before deadline.. Need to cancel my first entry coz i didn’t notice the 450kb limit per picture. I hope I will not disqualified for that.. Anyways, goodluck guys! (y)
