I wonder what the issue is this time. To be fair, though, they never announced that things were completely 100% back to normal and functional again after the last downtime.
Well that’s great, started up the RP again yesterday after a few days pause…and Database errors…yay.
At this rate I might just start a free forum for the RP’s to avoid data loss and any major drops, I understand s*** happens but this is geting ridiculous at this point.
Maybe it’s all a secret plot between the admins and the HLJ folk to keep us bouncing back and forth between their sites, boosting traffic on both ends.
I only wanted to see everybody’s updates to what they were working on x_X. Also gripe about not be able ever find a decent priced Hguc Nu or Hi Nu XD in stock.
I couldn’t even login this morning due to the errors. I’ve already sent MCGundam an email about this. Which, I haven’t talked to her in weeks. So I’m afraid that I don’t have any light to shed on the situation guys.
Just wanted you all to know. A few minutes ago, I received an email from MCGundam. GS&M has hired someone to go in and fix the forum. They are going to overhaul everything to make it more stable so that all these issues will hopefully be a thing of the past. So just wait it out a bit longer and we’ll finally be back home.
Pretty much fellas, why I was let go was a blank to me cause of the shock of the news. all I know is is what my supervisor said. I will not tell you what she said to me, cause that in of itself was vague to me. All I know is that im out of a job and im on the hunt to get back in the saddle. Pisses me off that after 6 months of busting my ass,…[Read more]
It sucks to hear that happened to you. Retailers tend to like making trumped up charges so they churn through employees and keep their costs down and maximize their own profits. Try not to take it personally. Institutional greed is likely at fault; it’s the way they operate nowadays. Best of luck in finding a new job.
Thanks for the thoughts Z. And yeah im not letting this knock me down. im getting back up and im going to get in gear and start job hunting…as soon as this storm passes over 😀
Sorry for me blowing off steam like that fellas, but I had to get it out. thanks for the condolences 😀 but fear not I should be able to get back into the game real soon lol
Actually, I may have something to keep me busy other than model kits (finished most of em…still waiting for that part to come in for Loftwing…backordered)…
Thanks all guys. Me, im just gonna throw out some lines to see what bites, keep in touch with you guys, hope the forums come back up and hang out on SWRP for a while lol
Also… Are you doing something different when you upload pictures? Every time you do, I see two separate threads for the same pic, and if it’s a thread where you upload multiple pics, it creates a thread for each picture o.O?
And Chapel I have no idea why it does that. I’ve seen it do that before, but I don’t know why. I just click attach media, type up my post. Then click post update.
As promised, here is the head on mine. The eyes could have used more work, but it looks better from a bit farther way. Mind the blemishes on the finish too. Dust particles are nearly impossible to avoid in my room.
It does kinda remind me of Ninja Turtles. I’m liking the color scheme more and more. The eyes are pretty intriguing and different. I’ve seen something like that before, I just cannot think of where.
Haha, so I’m not the only one who thinks of Ninja Turtles. I don’t know if it’s due to the sharp points on the head, but the eyes remind me of a bug’s.
I had to look up what a Crysis 3 hunter looked like and I agree, it does look like them, haha. Hopefully it all looks good when put together with the rest of the kit.
Nope definitely not the only one, it very we’ll reminds me of them too. Really loving the extra detail on the horn and visor two,I’m assuming you had to mask the visor part off?
Thanks, man. And nope, I painted the visor freehand with a size 0 round brush, then touched up the edges where the green touches. I find that applying the touch-up paint in quick dabs instead of small strokes is way easier.
I’m amazed as well! Quick dabs should work really well for touch-ups, even if you use lacquer paints. This is judging by how thin such paint tends to dry. Tamiya acrylics are the same deal.
I happen to remember that song, along with the music videos and the in-depth look at the animatronics used for the Turtle suits. Looked like a cyborg control suit inside, haha.
I’m only a few colors away from a full-on Ninja Turtle Kampfer and I didn’t realize it during the color planning phase. Already got red and purple represented…
thanks man! had to hollow out all the pegs and peg holes on the inside, glad i bought that dremel a while back. even though i was scared i was going to dremel right through the shoulder haha
the guns can still rotate on the shoulder but, i’ve lost a tiny bit of arm articulation. they also clear the binders when rotating. thats what i’m really happy about.
Definitely loving the execution of the shoulders, but I dunno how I feel about the asymmetry the old shoulder spikes give. Since you’re not using the shoulder plates from the amazing, I’d consider transplanting the spikes from those over.
Cool. I like how you shifted the angle of the shoulders to give it a different look. About the old shoulders, if you have two different ones, why not use a different weapon on that side? That might help the asymmetrical look.
Thanks man. I was excited to see how it would turn out. It doesn’t rotate unfortunately, I didn’t have the tools to go that far with the mod. But I’m happy with it.
I like that color you used and the mono-eye is very prominent, at least in that pic. It’s got that menacing look for sure. I suppose I should post up the head on mine soon too, haha.
I’m going to assemble a few of the frame pieces tonight, and tape off the horn and spikes for painting. Hopefully I’ll have enough extra rods to get the last remaining parts ready for paint.
It’s actually a piece of extra runner. I sized it, cut it, and sanded it down to fit good and snug inside the head. Of coarse, a little cement makes sure that it stays in place.
That really does improve the look by leaps and bounds, if I don’t decide on doing a visor setup I can so use that idea? I figure I’ll ask as I don’t want to take away from the spirit if the group build.
