so after one week of hand painting all the gold and spraying the metallic paint i think ive done a pretty decent job painting sinanju id love to hear some feed back from others though View
gbwc ended at nycc and this year’s entries’ quality was much better than last year. even though i didnt win or anything it was a fun competition seeing other entries and being able to learn from their awesome works. check out the works at https://www.facebook.com/kdash71/?fref=ts (my entry is the sinanju stein) the winner was child of mechas…[Read more]
honestly if ur really bothered by it if it keeps falling off then u could add a little paint on the pegs to tighten up the parts. or add a little crazy glue to the pegs or holes n then wait for it to dry n then slap the pieces back on so the parts wont come off easily. imo i dont really like to glue things because it limits me from painting the…[Read more]
i think my sinanju stein is completed. its been a heck of a process finishing this for ny cc with school coming soon n all but im glad i got it done early enough to check for touch ups
Amazing!!!! that backpack, wow! and the effect on the weapons. There’ll be a lot of dropped jaws at NYCC hehe. Where are you located Banshee, if you dont mind me asking. I’m in upstate NY. Had the chance to participate in the gunpla contest held at Otakuthon in Montreal 2 weeks ago and took third place in the open category. I’m hoping i”ll be…[Read more]
May you show the backpack more closely. It looks monstrous. Looking at my Stein I realize some of the used parts, but I would love to see the whole thing.
He means the empty runners and what to do with them…….
There was someone here that posted a picture of him building a stand out of the runners, this was a long time ago, can’t remember who or what.
Or do what I do, throw them in the old recycling bin, or is that a dumb answer to a ………. (insert your opinion on the dotted line) question 😛
im going to commend u on showing us a pic organizing all those parts. lol i usually just put same color parts in one box dump em on a table and start assembling it after painting. but good job on this
prob not the right place to say this but whtever. anyone that lives in the us, Barnes and nobles are having a gundam sale so wing custom, double x and others are up on sale for 25 percent off
if its that bad i feel like returning it is a better option u spent so much money to get it torn up especially since neo zeong costs ten arms and legs to get
Almost USD100 in taxes every time it comes in, not to mention shipping. Like I said, not feasible. Nothing is broken or missing; no guarantee the next box will have everything. I am looking for ways to reduce/remove/recover stressed plastic, short of painting.

i have a question about hlj.com and their sales thing
last night i saw the hyaku shiki on sale and was like no way so i added it to my cart and then decided to pick it up today but then i checked on the site it said its backordered( think this is ridiculous because the sale literally started less than 24 hrs ago) but my cart still has the gundam…[Read more]
Your best bet would be contacting the service department of HLJ. Just drop them an email and you’ll be helped before you know it!
Regarding the backorder part, it all depends on Bandai, how long it takes them to make another batch. Sometimes HLJ might get some new stock from a distributor, but most of the time they have already spread their stock…[Read more]
its laquer so dont spray it over enamels. u can do enamels or acrylics on laquer but not the other way around. acrylics are the weakest of paints then enamel n then laquers which tamiya spray cans r laquers. u can put enamel over acrylic also but dont do it the other way around. just remember acrylic<enamel<laquer. n that means that u can spray…[Read more]
i used the good old fashion tamiyas but prob with that stuff it scratches easily so you have to pledge it and wait a while but spraying with laquers dont forget to wear a gas mask that stuff is toxic but have fun with it keep a good distance away from the parts not too close or ull overspray n not too far so u cant do any good precise painting
