Not the kits though. I don’t usually care about the story or history behind a kit. The suits look like Frontier upgrades. If the prices are good, I’ll get them & change the color scheme a bit.
Thanks. I don’t think I’ll be any more stock paint jobs on mecha. This is more or less camouflage. You could buy 10 of this kit & do 10 different paint jobs & they look totally different from the stock ones.
Niiiice, I love custom paint, macross tend to have planes that look like racing cars instead of military planes, so changing things is always welcomed.

Have you heard All Gundam Project? It might be not as much as you want, but close to it. It comes with separated joints as you finished building the kit, so you can dissemble it, paint it per part, and joinbit all together after finishing up. That is what I did with almost all of new released kit.
Or they could do a plot like a high school teenage boy, knowing nothing about mecha, given the chance to try one out, mastering it in a matter of episodes, is entrusted by the world to save humanity from alien invasion. Wait a min. It’s been done a trillion times. My bad. 🙂
Seriously, they should learn something from the strategy>tech in Aldnoah…[Read more]
No, by stock I didn’t mean no painting, but painting as the instructions say, to the letter. No color change. No modding. No kitbashing. No custom parts. Like stock cars, they bore me to no end. I can see ’em on the streets, why would I build ’em? Race cars & bikes, on the other hand, are a different topic.
I totally don’t get RG’s reasoning. If…[Read more]
