I haven’t really built a frame arms kit in a really long time, and they do look pretty cool. What would be a good one to try to get back into building frame arms?
I’d go with a Stylet. Its one of the lesser priced Frame Arms but still looks pretty cool. Any of the critisms of Frame Arms are easily fixable. What I do with pieces that fall off is to just paint the pegs. They will still fit in place as long as you dont make the paint too think but will have the added friction to hold the pieces in place. Just make sure to let the paint dry of course.
I’m kinda disappointed that it didn’t come with effect parts, though looking at how much plastic we get for the model itself I can see why they’d leave it out.
Surely the best part of this kit is the fact that the Ion Blaster has a handle peg in the correct position so that it can be held correctly and not pointing to one side like the two versions that were created for the original and subsequent issued versions.
The ability to stand was probably not a high priority as the model is supposed to depict the appearance of Red 5 during the battle of Ceres, which occurred outside of any planetary atmosphere.
Out of the six Units in Team Rabbits only Gold Four, Black Six and possibly Blue One could be made into model kits that would be able to stand unaided. Purple Two and Rose Three however, would be out of the question as they have no legs whatsoever.
