Thankfully they started those comic collection books about 10-12 years ago with the 20 to 30 issues in 1 big book, that’s the only reason my “collection” is as big as it is, lol!

        • LOL, yeah, i still have most of them, hard to forget the really tacky 90’s costumes.

          • @Phillip kind of. My mom was fascinated with jets as I recalled and my dad’s name is Harly. The idea was to take the jet and my dad’s name together. Could have been jetly but they found out there was the martial artist jet li by the time I was born on 1989.
Oh and this was at the Philippines so yeah. They just named me that way.

Yea, @leehobby the only problem with PWH is that, you don’t realise how much it costs until you pay up lol…

  • Phillip posted a new activity comment 9 years, 7 months ago

@leehobby From what I’m getting, the ladies are picking up items that have ALREADY been set to ship. But I dunno… just crazy if they already have my stuff in a box and still took 9 days to sent it off to the post office.

  • Phillip posted a new activity comment 9 years, 7 months ago

That’s true @leehobby. When calculating the actual shipping costs for each item, I would divide their weight by the total weight and calculate. Thankfully, HLJ lists the weight of every item they sell. The small tools would cost maybe AUD1.50 or so only.

    • it’s worth to try matching the items when ordering shipment.
You may end up with same cost when you combine big item and small item.
My last shipment, the HG Unicorn was “free” because shipping cost was the same for PG GP01, with or without it.

  • Phillip posted a new activity comment 9 years, 7 months ago

@leehobby Nope I believe this PWH is only a virtual system where they hold your item in their program, not the actual stock. They probably have to go hunt them down one by one once you set to ship and they need to scan it out before shipping. They won’t be able to put your stuff in a box until you have ALL your items else they have to keep…[Read more]

@leehobby Leena, my last 2 orders (both 8 items) took 9 and 6 days to process respectively… looking at your order, probably a month lol.

    • Watttt really how come take so long , i though everytime we pay for item in order they put all in the box for customer and just wait to ship , I think

      • No. Your stock will be held and ready to go but when you pay it and go to PWH, it will go to specific location in the warehouse, I imagine massive shelf with bin location info recorded on the system.
When you order shipment, they will have to look for this item and pack it.
That’s why it will take a while, depending on other orders that they have…[Read more]

        • If that’s the case, why did it take 9 days for them to find my bin? LOL…

          • because you’re special and too many items to look for :p

            • “What? This guy with his 7123752731 things again?! We’ll need a bigger box this time!” Anyway, the reason why they pack our stuff for a week even though the PWH has them ready and waiting for us is because there are a LOT of people waiting for their stuff at the same time. People packing those things for us do have working hours (i.e. 9 to 5) and…[Read more]

I know how that feels Leena @leehobby… just bought my third IKEA cabinet and need a fourth soon. *FACEPALM*

  • Phillip posted a new activity comment 9 years, 7 months ago

Wow that’s awesome! @leehobby, how much was shipping to Australia for this bunch? I’m gonna receive my box(es) today and I still have 9 items in my PWH… Scary the amount of money I’m spending… (no @bode76, I dun print money 😛 )

    • There is two item in that list that makes my eyes go all sparkle “Berserk Fury” & “Liger Zero”.

A package like that is like Christmas has arrived extra early 😀

    • it was 14000 yen ^^, but i calculated them its worth . example Berserk Fury is 160$ In australia is $77 + $20 shiping so at the end its save me around $70 . the money its saved go to next kit ^^ . I still have 10 kits of Zoids and Gundam in my PWH too 😛

      • That’s cheaper than what I paid because I stuffed up the PWH order by doing it too early, then the other item avail. an hour later.

        • usually i wait for all the kit in stock, get post, so i have enough time to build while wait for the kit to restock. Waiting for Sinaju Titanium TT

      • Holy smokes. I cringed when mine goes past ¥5000 lol… but guess it makes sense for you, especially considering the average size of those ZOIDS kits!! (And how far Australia is from the rest of the world… thank the Heavens you are not from NZ!)

    • With the rate that you’re going, you might need a warehouse like HLJ’s.

  • Phillip posted a new activity comment 9 years, 7 months ago

@leehobby, show yours when it arrives, Leena! 🙂

@leehobby Leena I do minor painting with a normal paintbrush too and I find that without thinning the paint the brushstrokes will be visible. So I usually add a few drops of thinner (make sure its the same type as the paints) and apply 3-4 coats. That is a lot of work (cos u need to let it dry for hours between coats) but worth it. With one thick…[Read more]

    • If you use vallejos, you dont need to thin and it doesnt leave brush marks at all, even with a wide brush! One to two coats only needed depending on the colours!! White is the only colour that doesnt seem to like being handpainted on in my experience!
