It’s been a while, while my foray into warhammer and miniature painting has been satisfying, I find big stompin’ robots draw me back.
But why does HLJ not have anything in stock? All good kits are back ordered! View
As GN said, dump the remaining paint (if you want to keep it) into a jar, I always backwash the airbrush, since the Tamiya paints seem to clog up after a couple of sessions, and depending on what type of needle it uses, I pull the needle through the front after taking the nozzle apart saves dragging paint and gunk through the airbrush into places…[Read more]
Whole thing! as you can see some of the colour choices weren’t the best. I love the purple put out by Mr Color but I shouldn’t have used it on this guy.
niceee.it looks so much better..and its separate all the armament from the unicorn..great job..love the purple but maybe blue or gray would be a better option
Still needs decals applied. Probably won’t build a Full Armour Unicorn again. Might even put off building the Banshee and final battle Banshee for now, let alone the unicorn + MS cage.
Bring on the Sazabi Ver Ka!

Welcome bro!
Any clear colour can be made by tinting a clear base (literally a paint without any pigment) with a colour of your choosing. Or you can be lazy like be and just buy the clear colour.
I haven’t done very much hand painting but from what I understand you will need a retarding agent to slow the drying process if you use fast drying paint…[Read more]
Great build this MG Jesta. So damn solid! While gimmicks are great, the Jesta seems to be just simple elegance. If grunt kits start becoming like this, I’ll definitely be getting more.
I built this one a couple of months ago. Its got to be one of my favourite kits. I’m thinking of getting another one day and do a complete custom job on it (did a straight build last time) I just finished building the HG Jesta Cannon as well and it was great too. I’d buy that if it came out as a MG 🙂
Actually if you are moving onto stinkier paints, go straight to lacquers. Both require ventilation and respirators, so use the tough stuff 😉 I haven’t looked back since using mr color.
Mr color dries quickly and cures in less than 24 hours. I’ve managed to paint a hguc banshee in one weekend, that’s priming, base coat, post shading and…[Read more]
Yeah, I saw the banshee and both the FA and your Banshee look really nice man. I was originally thinking of switching to lacquers when I made my move from primarily acrylics but don’t have a spray booth of any type and only have a 3m dust mask, one of the cloth ones that have like a cage in the center. So I just have to spray outside hoping that…[Read more]
Acrylic is fine over enamel. But don’t make the mistake I did! Enamel takes a while to cure, even if it’s dry it’s still curing. Once you put a protective layer over it, like an acrylic coat, you’ll slow down the curing process even further.
