I had to get some stuff off ebay and it showed up. The Leopard’s box is in bad shape, the former owner cut a few of the pieces off the sprue but thankfully gave up for some reason or another and I got it 99% intact. The Shining is brand new thankfully.
I intend to kitbash the two and add several parts from my box of old broken gundam i.e. 1/100…[Read more]
Are you moving the skeleton on the MG into Leopard?
And actually the Gundam X 1/100 HG kit is fine to build, with some color and masking, it still look great. I used to build all the 1/100 Gundam X series too, well my favorite still the Air buster, too bad now is discontinued…need to find it somewhere for sure.
XD lol why yes I am, you’re spot on the money with that guess. I’m in hard core love with the leopard and I felt it needed and update to a master grade chasis. I’ve another but the caps are so so bad that I felt it needed love but it seems Gundam X is one of those ‘lost’ series that Bandai doesn’t care to improve. I didn’t like the official…[Read more]
I really like how that’s turning out. It’s one handsome model. I like the robustness of the chest yet it manages to keep a sense of areodynamisism(isthatadamnword?) and the weathering is great. The rust really sticks out.
I’m waiting for my master grade heavyarms to get here but my plan after that is my second favorite suit, good old sandrock. I’m planning on going full metalic look for it with a golden scarab theme. Wish they had made master grade ova Sandrock by now, may buy the old ova version to fancy up some.
Hi,
Does anybody know of an alternative to Mr. Hobby Metal Primer? I want to do some photo etched parts but I’m having a devil of a time getting supplies. I’ve a clear plastic spray used for protecting pcbs but I’m not sure how that’ll work.
That’s pretty much what I’m going for. I’ll mix my own custom color, though.
Been a fan of Sandrock since I first began building Gunpla over 12 years ago.
In fact the 1/144 TV version was the first kit I ever built!
So, I figured it was time to show this kit some love & paint it the way I’ve always wanted to; in desert colors.
Hope you’ll look…[Read more]

I was kind of taken aback by the choice but when I saw how wonderfully the way the feet match the shins I was sold. Gonna be sicker than cholera. After market bandai parts going to be part of the over all scheme?
Yeah that getting behind the shield look is great, I like seeing gundam use tactics on ground vs pew pew pew in space. I’ve been looking at gundam shields and with the exception of the physalis I find them all too small.
Highly recommended! While it’s not impossible to get great results without and airbrush, I personally could not have done what I did here without one. Plus, you can mix the colors exactly as you want them, use different shades, and basically have 100% control over what you’re doing.
