Hi,
My name is Lucas and I love Gunpla. Gundam Seed has a special place in my heart as the mobile suits in Seed are brilliantly designed. Ever since I have seen the desert fight scene between Strike Gundam and LaGOWE, I immediately wanted to make a diorama depicting this scene. This will be a fully-painted and slightly customized diorama. I’m thinking of adding some minor touches that will make this quite unique. 🙂
Unfortunately, this awesome fight it is not depicted well enough in the anime. Oh, well. I will do it properly. 😛

Thanks to HobbyLink Japan, I have the models and some useful tools.
Step one will be the assembly and figuring out the places that need to be cleaned/filled with putty.
I’ll start with LaGOWE, as it is a way simpler model and I have not assembled a dog-like mobile suit before.
After assembly LaGOWE looks great. 🙂

Looks great but will require a lot of work. Time to disassemble you, LaGOWE. Don’t worry. You’ll be whole again.

I’ll start with the twin beam cannon. Guns, guns, GUNS!!! One of the things why I love Gundam so much!
Let’s get to it then. I’m using Tamiya Cement to glue two parts of the beam cannon together.
Once dried, I sand the seam line with 800 grit sand stick and use Tamiya White Putty to fill in the gaps.

I usually leave the putty to dry for 24 hours.
Let’s wait for part 2… 🙂
