Hi all I’m hoping some one can please tell me what is the easiest/most hassle free way of stripping off Mr. Color paint from a model kit. As I really want to repaint my MG Sinanju Stein, Also me using brake fluid to do so is out of the question for sure.

    • You can safely use chlorine or some other sodium hypochlorite based products. Just leave in a container for at least 24 hours. You can then wipe off the paint that hasn’t come off with a paper towel. Then rinse off with clear water in your drain. No environmental issues.
Please keep in mind that these product can stain you clothes.
Other options are window cleaner or oven cleaner. They seem to work in the same manner. Never used those, but chlorine has worked for me. Doesn’t effect styrene, poly-caps, clear plastic nor resin.
Hope this answers your question. Good luck and lots of fun building

    • i use 93 percent alchohol when i strip paint i think its pretty effective and comes off quickly too its also pretty cheap too so u might wanna try that
