i recently bought an airbrush master g-22 airbrush plus compressor on amazon. when i received it i tried it out and i tried to spray with the airbrus with a paint ration of 1:1 using tamiya white and thinner but nothing came out when i pressed the trigger on the low end when i pressed it and pulled it back it splatters and all the paint was runny. i thought i used too much thinner but i add more paint but its the same thing is it because my airbrush is broken

    • Could be a bad seal on the nozzle, 1-1 works with my Iwata Revolution, you may also be getting moisture build up in the hose line (judging from the runny paint comment), you can normally eliminate that problem with a moisture trap on the airbrush end of the hose, if you already have one on the compressor?

      • wait whts a moisture trap and how can u tell if theres a bad seal on the nozzle

        • Well in this link the moisture trap should be attached to your compressor, it has the pressure gauge, and the trap (the glass device) http://www.iwata-medea.com/wp-content/uploads/legacy/uploads/sprint_hardware.jpg.

Now the airbrush attachable moisture trap will look something like this item in the second photo down http://www.iwata-medea.com/products/accessories/hardware/ I have no idea if this exact one would fit your airbrush or if Master make their own version of this.

Probably the easiest way to tell if your airbrush has a bad seal, is by placing your finger over the end of the nozzle, and with some water, or airbrush cleaning solution, push down for air, and see if anything is leaking from around the nozzle guard, or bubbling in the cup, if not then see what happens when you start pulling the trigger back for paint flow, and then see if anything is leaking from the guard around the nozzle.

I just use the plain bee wax lip balm to put a good seal around the nozzle guard thread, and a little bit for the actual nozzle thread, although I know some airbrushes use a rubber O ring/silicone washer to create the seal.

Just looked up your airbrush, it does have a rubber O ring, here is the review with some helpful photos and exploded diagrams if it helps, apparently bee’s wax is a good substitute for the O ring https://sites.google.com/site/donsairbrushtips/master-g22

    • well the g22 is a dual action so if you just press down you get nothing but air, and if you pull all the way back then the paint just runs right out. I don’t have too much experience with Dual action brushes, but I’m thinking you just need to be more gentle pulling back on the trigger.
