Hi, got another gundam paint question, this time involving gundam unicorn PHENEX (hg gft version)!

I’m conflicted between a Out of box build with panel lines (Since I have the mg coming, I have an odd collection of unicorns now) or to paint, thing is I cannot exactly match what the manual says to use since I’m a spray can noob (the main body requires gold as the base, clear yellow and clear orange, and same again for main camera and crest but with silver as the base).

So, IF I choose to paint him using the tamiya spray can range, how can I go about it?

Could I use a silver spray and attempt to go over in clear red (instead of orange) or would I be better off finding another safe for plastic paint, and could I just layer spray cans on top of each other?

Otherwise what else can we recommend other than plain gold, plain gold looks ok for the joints of rg strike freedom but I need something even brighter for the main body, and an example someone else did with a type of brass…well I can’t use unless I hand paint, and I’m pretty crap with hand painting :c

Otherwise any suggestions for color choices for my hg unicorn phenex, thanks!
