I’ve finally finished all the masking, and I’m ready to lay down my final layers of paint. So hopefully I’ll have some assembly photos to post up over the weekend. But for now, check out the AGE-2s rifle in Tamiya Gunmetal. I have found a new love for that paint.
Straight plastic. No primer used. For this I love the way it looks. It looks awesome for a weapon. Would putting a black primer under it make it darker?
Yep, a black undercoat will make it darker. Remember my Evil Qan[T]? All of the originally blue parts were painted with Tamiya Gun Metal with a gloss black undercoat. Came out a grungy black-ish metallic compared to a slightly grungy metallic grey.
I think no undercoat for those rifles looks tasty, though.
Beein using that color too for my model kits inner frame 🙂
Its great!

Now that’s one pretty rifle. Excellent use of Tamiya Gun Metal. Did you put any undercoat or just sprayed straight on plastic?
