I think the female fighting costumes are designed for distraction – otherwise known as “planned costume failure”, since there’s no way that top would stay in place in a fight!

For my generation, this is the Kenobi we know and the movie we saw in the theaters was just known as Star Wars – although Lucas indicated that it was the fourth film chronologically in his planned saga, it would be still be many years before the original would officially be retconned as “Episode IV” or “A New Hope”.
