Just waiting on another f1 2000 to arrive as I need some decals from the kit as I messed up some of the decals so needed replacements.
The rear wing is not fixed in posistion yet, neither are the side mirrors or antennas as they might get snapped off so wont be fixed till its completed.
The front wing is completed but I need to do the nose…[Read more]
Just be careful not to apply too much colour in 1 go or you will get runs as gravity will pull the wet paint if theres too much.usualy a plastic kit like a gundam can take a primer then 3 coats of thinned down paint, I tend to use tamiya thinners for my hand brushing with either tamiya or citadel paint.also I tend to use flat colours, especialy if…[Read more]
If you use white primer yhe red would look pinkish at first but you would need yo apply yhe red in layers.use dark primer will make the red look darker do once again will need thecred building up in layers again.personaly I would have said either but you can get pink primer, I know as I am using it on the build I am doing now, ferrari f1.
cool, i didnt know that about light with dark and dark with light. but ya im gonna add more layers to it and see how it goes than. its been hard trying to get the color i want. but ya thanks for the help.

Thats looking sweet, I know what its like now after building (still am) my first automobile.lot different from gundam or even scifi lots of finiky little things and spray jobs that need to look right.
Heres where I am at now with the f1 2000.still lots of finiky bits to do, electrics and more plumbing, front spoiler to finish off.i been working on the rear spolier today.
Eh, people build what they wanna build, you know? But I’m really hoping for a good laugh out of this one. I do think somebody’s gonna be interested in it, just like the Valkyrie I brought last year.
Them kits are nice but lots of finky bits and crap loads of decals.they are very geekish and I think its one thing modellers have a little bit off running in their blood.they been off and in offer here for s while, I snapped up a lot of the virtual on kits from here the first time I saw them on offer.i am sure someone will take a fancey to it, who…[Read more]
Well I’m not out to convert anybody (I’d be pretty pissed if somebody in the club tried to get me to start building WWII tanks) – it’s more like, if the present I bring is gonna be kind of undesirable, then it’s more fun to go over-the-top ridiculous. If people though it was crazy that Hasegawa made cartoon robot-jets, what will they think when…[Read more]
My iwata neo is currently soaking in isoprpyl as it stopped spraying.it blows air but paint nor qater will spray.think it hot reaky bunged up or something at the yip and thing is the nozzle is built in like the cheapo chinese jobbies.

although the panel lines might not be canon (like what would realy exist on the real armour) its more a matter of choice and whgat you feel comfotable with.you gotta remember that the armour is mad of parts and they are not whole after all the person dosnt step into the iron patriot/war machine, its put around them in parts, some seams will always…[Read more]
I understand the “armor pieces fitting on a human being” reasoning, but the different armor parts would most probably be separated along the panel lines and not right in the middle of a piece of armor like the kit. The way I see it, leaving the seam lines as they are just makes the kit look unfinished.
Worked on the decals for the front wing, rear cowling and monocoque of the f1 2000.detailed off the electronics for the monque.the electrical connectors can be pain as they snap too easily.
The engine has the plumbimg lines connected but I need to attach the monocoque to the lower chassis too finish off the electronics and attach up the…[Read more]
