So a bit of a show ‘n’ tell got myself a couple of pre-owned airbrushes,
an IWATA Hi Line HP-CH & a Revolution CR. Got the two for an incredible price of ‘wait for it’ £80….. BARGIN!
Cant wait to get cracking with these two.

    • Bargain deal there, been happy with my revolution HP-CR, kind of jumped off the deep end when getting an airbrush setup, but it was worth it.

    • I need find an IWATA airbrush, they’re good with for detailing, fine details, but the components have more parts than a single-action airbrush. Seen some demonstrations of dual action air brushes on youtube, and really impressed by the results.

      • Hi there, So if your already have a single-action airbrush your more than qualified to take your turn with a duel-action one. There is absolutely no reason to feel intimidated by the secondary action, if anything their easier in terms of operation.
By that I mean your not reaching to adjust the needle screw at the rear of the brush ALL the time. The spray pattern is done on the fly by pulling back on the trigger so your in complete control over what goes through the nozzle.
Some airbrushes are equipped with an needle stop adjuster at the rear of the brush that enables you to limit the rearward travel of the trigger. That in turn controls the spray pattern just like that of a single-action.
I implore you to upgrade to a duel-action asap even if its a cheep one off of eBay, then practice on anything you like you’ll be surprised how quickly you’ll pick it up.
I have some vids on YouTube please go check them out and sub for future tutorials ect.
I hope that has been of help 🙂

      • depends on the model of AB you buy, as to how many parts you have to worry about on clean up day, my Evolution only has four parts taken out for cleaning, needle cap, nozzle cap, nozzle, and the needle (although the two caps can just come off as one). This is my first airbrush, and yeah it was daunting at first, but I was more worried about cleanup and maintenance over just using it.

Definitely get an airbrush moisture trap though, I was quickly educated on this when paint got messed up by a glob of condensed water that came through the air hose.

        • My iwata neo is currently soaking in isoprpyl as it stopped spraying.it blows air but paint nor qater will spray.think it hot reaky bunged up or something at the yip and thing is the nozzle is built in like the cheapo chinese jobbies.

I managed yo just get my omni4000 going again after it had same prob but soakibg it got it going but its not a fine detail one it dobt half give it some welly lol.

Also got an old badger, my first airbrush going again sfter a soaking but it kinda sprays in puffs at a time.

Air brushs are great but they tend to stop working all of a sudden.you use it, clean it and next time you fire it up the thing just wont spray.

          Goid luck with your brushs.
