    Hey guys and gals…

Got a question…how do you all paint your min pilot…figs that go into the gundam…?

    • I cut down a bamboo skewer or toothpick to a fine point then use that to paint details (I use humbrol enamels but any paint would work). This works well for 1/100 and 1/60 but is a little rough for a 1/144 figure.

    • I myself use a very small brush. I first paint the lowest detail on the figure and the work my way up. For example, if the pilot wears a jacket over a t-shirt, I first start with the t-shirt, then the jacket. When doing the jacket, hold the stem of the brush perpendicular to the edge of the jacket. This way the brushes won’t paint over the edges, hope that makes sense don’t know how to describe it in any other way.
The rest comes to a steady hand and carefully toughing op small mistakes.
I too use enamels to paint the figures. When I’m pleased with the result of the main painting process I spray an acrylic gloss coat on top of it. This way when I make mistakes on the small details I can take the enamel paint off with some enamel thinner without messing up the “larger” painted parts.
With all modeling skills, this will also take some practice but if I can do it, anybody can do it 😉
Good luck with it. If there are any more questions about this or any other subject please get back to us.
      Happy building!
