there is a little weight drag if you keep the arms at it’s side without rotating the arms forward if that makes any sense. like if you spread the arms out to the sides without rotating it at the shoulder the arms will fall back down but, in any other pose the arms will hold the weapons up without issue.
so i opened the FA gundam thunderbolts kit and there was a manga/tech specs book inside and apparently its a first edition exclusive? i regret not pre-ordering the other thunderbolts kits now :/
That’s a nice surprise. I was thinking of buying the FA Gundam too. If that book is only exclusive to the first pre-orders, I’ll have to settle with just the kit, haha.
Yep, the book is only included with the first batch. I thought that it was comic, and thus I had no interest in it because it would be written entirely in Japanese. It’s actually specs of the suit?
That’s why I had no interest was because of the whole knowing it was going to be In Japanese. Drew it only came with the FA armor so no loss there. Still a neat extra though love the artwork in the thunderbolt manga
i feel dumb because i had opened it once before but, i only moved the runners enough to take out the manual. i always take the manuals out and put them on top of the runners for some reason lol. so i was pleasantly surprised when i opened it this time.
i wanted to ask you guys a question i have this idea for a kit but, have no idea what kit to base it on. essentially it’ll be a more B.A. version of my ground type. going to call it “Warden” and i plan to give it LOTS of battle damage and weapons… and a hooded cloak!
is there a master grade Hazel? i was hoping to expose a lot of inner frame. plus all the unicorn weapons look too huge on a 1/144th haha. although that could work with a hazel hmm… great suggestion! i had forgotten about the Hazel
Oh, sorry, man.i didn’t know you were going to use the MG Unicorn weapons. If you don’t find a proper MG (there is no MG Hazel), then why not turn the MG Unicorn’s beam rifle into a turret?
Those are certainly GIGANTIC kits. Those alone will take you a long time, haha. If you’re going to straight build the Sazabi, go for it. It looks great with only a topcoat.
i was thinking of doing minor touches like painting the tubes around the neck part. then i played around with the idea of making a white sazabi because i saw a sweet white sazabi build
I know, white Sazabis look excellent. If you don’t get intimidated by the giant amount of parts, by all means, make one. You’ll be able to make up your mind once you start.
hey guys a little WIP update. Kodiak (full assault bearguy) fell and his backpack mounted gatling gun fell apart but, this is good news! because while i was puting him back together i finally settling on a paint scheme. i’m going to be going for a battle scar/war torn look for him. maybe replace one of the ears with an antenna, that sort of thing.
That looks great! It reminds me of one of those robot dinosaurs that I always wanted when I was small. It’s bigger than I expected. Did you paint the inner frame?
Seeing it without the panel lining reminds me of the one in the anime, all smooth, clean, and angular. Nice to see that your feet are stiff. Completely opposite mine which has firm legs, but loose feet, haha.
